I whirled around and knelt down over the human, of course how could I have missed that. Maybe she was a hunter of my kind. No then why wouldn't she go after that other kne. I place my hand on her throat and pulled her up I felt confused and cautious, but why? I couldn't see a weapon. It was the dark passenger. It had set me on edge. I released and backed away.

Maya scooted back slowly, staring nervously at the girl. She realized something. Her hand was bleeding a little from when she'd tripped.

That was it. The blood. That was what made the other vampire so angry. I stepped infront of the human. I dont know why but I wanted to protect her. I bared my fangs, and let a horrible meancing growl rip through my teeth. I didn't trust the other creature. I wasn't sure why

Maya stared at the other person. She'd just... And... A few inches... The person wasn't human. Maya tried to speak, but all that came out was a squeaking noise. That's probably why she didn't scream.

My eyes glowed like silver, I would protect this human. I could tell the other vampire would not thunk twice about killing me. My fingernails sharpened. My inner deamon let loose as hard as it was to try to control it I did. Probably because of my earlier affair. I kept my stance, keeping my wide shoulders square.

Scooting back farther until she bumped into the tree whose roots had caused her to trip, Maya watched the two not-humans.

I lay quietly in the trees, trying to not make a sound so I could finally sleep. But I am unsucessful. I sigh.

I looked up. " with all the energy your wasting trying to kill this human you couldve killed someone who deserves it" I said calmly. Most likely the other vampire thought it was me who needed to die. I didn't mind. "like I do." I smiled a challenging smile. Trying to distract the other being while- hopefully- the human would try to flee.
