I woke up to do what was becoming a middle of the night ritual for me. I walked down to the kitchen and got my glass of water. I decided to look at a picture album, while I drank it.
(Happy New Year to you too. Got any resolutions?) -
He still stood in her bedroom. And she'd walked right past him. He knew he could be quiet, but...
(Make it to 2013, sanity intact. And write/read a lot more. Yours?) -
I came back into my room, surprised to see Eric there."Oh. Hi...how long have you been standing there."

"Um..." Eric thought. "A few hours, probably."

"Sorry..."

"Last night you said I could. I wasn't sure if that meant every night. If it didn't, I didn't want to make you mad."

"Yes, I did mean every night. If you wanted to I mean."

"Okay." Eric yawned a little.

"Oh, come on." I said, taking his hand. I led him to the bed, got in and scooted over.

Eric got in the bed next to her.

"Sweet dreams."

"Goodnight." He kissed her.

Pulling myself towards him, I kissed him back. I pulled away and yawned.

Eric fell asleep quickly.

It took me a little while to fall asleep, but it claimed me quickly.
