He didn't know how long he stayed up. All he remembered was falling asleep on the couch.

He woke up, from a dream he thought was real. It was like a day of school before yesterday. It felt like a nightmare.

He was disturbed from dark sleep by his alarm clock. He grumbled and stuffed his head on the pillow, wanting more sleep.

He got up and got ready, the house already empty except for his sister's complaining she can't find shoes to match her outfit. He went downstairs to eat something and finish his paper.

Once the alarm went off again, he hissed and got up, changing and debating whether or not he should make breakfast.

His sister soon headed out to meet some friends early, so the house was quiet. He finished, and left to walk in the forest before school.

He sighed and grabbed an orange. He grabbed his backpack, and left the house, unpeeling the orange as he went.

He walked the path a bit and noticed a catapiller on a rock on the side. Normally he wouldn't notice the thing but he found it interesting how it waddled around through his habitat.

Nick walked the usual path, eating his orange. He really didn't notice anything but the birds' songs.

He kept walking and saw Nick ahead a bit. "Hey." He smiled.

Nick turned back, and saw Alex, much to his surprise. "Uh.. oh! Hey," he greeted.

"How are you?"

"I'm.. Sane. How about you?"

"Same, was about to doubt it around my sister though."

"Ahg, siblings suck. Sorry.."
