(SELENA!! Oh. Wait. I'm supposed to scold you. Don't interupt, missy! Ahem. Also- *tackles*)
-
Jade turned the next corner, then reaching the elevator. She noticed many people, but none she recognized. There was one face she was looking out for, thoguh: the young one, the girl with the crystal necklace. Her killer.
Come out, come out, wherever you are... -
(Scold me? I don't pay attention to scolding. *is tackled*)
-
Switch wandered aimlessly around, no hope whatsoever that she would be able to locate the girl. For the first time in years, she felt helpless. She would surely be executed if she did not finish this quickly. She began to panic. She moved more quickly, her face flushed with fright. Rain was picking up, and people were still crowding everywhere. She took one last desperate glance around.
"What the hell are you all doing out here in the rain anyway!?" she suddenly shrieked, quite loudly. People stopped and stared at her. She slapped her hands over her mouth, startled.
Did I say that out loud? -
(Hmm... Perhaps you should start listening to scolding? You could learn something.)
-
(Hmmm... what if I told you, I don't really get scolded, because I'm that near perfect child?)
-
The mall was big and grand, that was no mistake. A giant window, big enough to give a decent view of the city from all 3 floors, overlooked the dark, rainy night. THere were plenty of people outside in the rain, but they all happened to be staring at this small, innocent looking girl. A frightened girl, to be precise.
The figure looked slightly familar, but she couldn't make her out completely. Then the light from a nearby driver's car hit her neck just right, she saw a glimmer and shine of a necklace.
Made of crystal.
CRAP. CRAP. CRAP! This is not good. Time to move! -
(I'm scared.)
Switch dropped her head and pushed through the crowd, toward the mall. She wanted to get away from these people. What were her chances of escaping the Discpline Committee? None. She knew that. She needed to find her target. When she had gotten away from the murmuring crowd, she lifted her head to allow the rain to soak her face. It did nothing to calm her. -
(Can we soap, Sun?)
-
(Sure, but I may or may not have to go soon. I've no idea.)
-
(Kay. I'll go find it. *goes to get iPod* Grr... forgot.)
-
(Hai, Sel. And Sun :P )
As the elvator brought them down, Jade went towards a large group of people, all of which heading for the metro. They were chatting enthousiastically amongst each other.
"Dude, it's gonna be freaking sick! The Canadiens are playing the Bruins tonight, right here, at the Bell Centre! Can you beleive it? Front row seats! Dudes, this is gonna be awesome...I hope a fight breaks out on the ice, that's always a killer."
It took Jade a few seconds to realize what they were talking about.
Hockey. They're talking about hockey.
She wasn't stupid: She knew that Montreal was the unofficial hockey capital of the world. She knew that the bell Centre holds 25, 000 people at once, probably more. She knew that every home Canadiens game was sold out, meaning that the Centre would be extremely loud, crowded, and very confusing.
The perfect place to hide.
Following the crowd, she entered the metro leading her to the Bell Station, connecting straight to the Bell Centre.
Hide and Seek has now officially begun. -
Switch sat down on a bench in front of the mall. What else could she do? Now, instead of hre shoulder or leg, her head hurt. She had no idea what to do. how long before Eathes decided she was worthless? A few days? She hoped she had that long. She leaned her head over the edge of the bench, her wet, matted hair falling in long knots down the other side. She would watch from here, where at least she could rest. Surely the girl had to turn up sooner or later?
-
The doors to the metro closed, and Jade exhaled. She was sre she hadn't been followed: the Killer hadn't even seen her on the elevator. Sitting a good distance away from the group of hockey fans, she continued to listen in on their conversation.
"And I swear, the kid was threatening the cop! I saw it with my own eyes, am, I am so not kidding you: she called her tubby!" The group started to laugh, but Jade was worried.
So he was there...hopefully, he doesn't recognize me. -
Switch sneezed. What was that old belief? You sneeze when someone talks about you?
"Superstitious nonsense." she muttered. She got upi, unable to sit and do nothing anymore. The rain was making her cold. She wandered toward the metro station, seeking shelter from the downpour. Her shoulder began to sting again, but the pain was much duller now. It was easier to ignore. She walked in sulkily. She had to admit- it was depressing.
