Switch ran through the door. What she saw ahead of her was a crowded train station. She stood frozen in place for a moment, but the sudden pain made her keep going.
She laughed. This girl thought that a mere train would separate her from the wrath of Eathes? She would pay dearly for underestimating them. Switch knew that the girl couldn't possilby know what she was up against. Eathes was the biggest assassination organization in the world. The girl wouldn't even know the name of the one who ended her. Switch had no time for sympathy. She needed to figure out which train the girl would have boarded. She put on her best look of innocence, and ran about.
She tugged on a woman's coat gently. The lady looked down with soft eyes. Switch was small enough to be mistaken for eleven.
"Miss? Have you seen my sissi? She looks like this." she said in a childish voice, holding up the picture Eathes had supplied. The lady looked at it, and pointed kindly toward one of the trains.
"Thank you!" she said with a fake bounce of gratitude, running toward the train. The false inncoence vanished from her face as she moved away, and her eyes were cold and emotionless again. -
(Still here?)
-
Jade looked up from her magazine, and saw a small, emotionless girl, running towards her train. Jade was never a stupid girl, and knew that must be the assasin.
She got up, walked calmly towards the head of her compartment, and pressed the big red button. The train's red lights were now flashing and two police officers and one of the drivers came down to see the ruckus.
Jade fell to the ground and sobbed. An elderly man came and lent her a hand, leading her to an open seat.
"I'm...so sorry. I must havew fallen, I thought I saw someone with a gun. Oh, what should I do!" The man looked at her curiously. "...about what? What is there to do about what?" Jade looked up at the man, tears in her eyes. "Oh, you wouldn't want to hear my story, it's not important anyway. You can....go on." She sniffled for effect.
By then, a crowd had formed around her seat, with an officer on each side.
You wanna play fake, eh? Well, I can play that game too. Eathes does not know who they're dealing with: No one messes with Jade. -
By now, Switch was on the train. There was a loud commotion, and several civilians were surrounding her target. Civilians, and police officers. The pain in her limbs was eating away at her by now, but the anger grew enough to hide it. She leaned against the side of the train, studying her nails. She wasn't a child. She was cabaple of patience. The crowd would clear eventually.
Though I must admit, she's a good actress. -
"...And that's why I ran away." She finished her little sob story, the tears running freely down her cheeks. Though the story was completely made up, the people all around her were tearing up and breaking at the seams.
"Is...there anything we can do, hun? I'm sure there must be something." A sweet lady said.
"Well...I don't feel all that safe traveling alone to a big city. I'd feel a lot better somewhere less crowded, but....protected." She continued to sob.
The driver thought a bit, then it was clear he had an idea. "I know! Why don't you come up front and sit with us drivers, hun?"
"Oh, what a marvelous idea!" Jade exclaimed.
Took you long enough.
"Oh, but....will I be safe there? I need to feel safe, wherever I am. It's a disorder I have, one of my many problems." The crowd sobbed again, remembering her sob story. "Ahh, shucks! Trust me, you'll be safe! The driver's compartment is riddled with cameras, recorders and panic buttons. Not to mention the three of us drivers and the two guards. You'll be fine, hun."
"You're a sweet man, Mister. Any chance some more people can come? Just in case something...happens." "I'll come!" "Me too!" "Anything for the pretty little sweetie!"
12 people volunteered, 12 people were accepted into the compartment with her.
Let's see Little Miss Killer get to me now. -
Switch watched with wide eyes as her target was led away. The girl looked smugg through her false tears. Switch caught her eye as she passed and offered her a heartless smile.
She's definitely making this interesting.
But the girl didn't know everything. She felt so safe right now, as though Switch would have trouble.
"Just remember, hun, I don't have stage fright." she muttered. She wondered briefly if the girl could hear. Once the door to the drivers compartment closed, Switch pushed off of the wall and leaned against the door. The girl could not leave. Switch just needed an idea. How could she kill the girl and still get off the train alive?
Too bad crying for a big crowd would not earn her any suggestions for that. -
Jade heard the small girl's remark, and she couldn't help but smile. Jade was a born actress: she'd dreamed of Broadway before she could walk. No assasin would ever change that, nor would a touch of extra information concealed in her memories.
"Everything okay, pumpkin? Do you need anything?" The chubbier driver said. Jade was surprised that someone with such a southern twang would be this close to the Great White North. "Oh, I think I'll be fine. What's that?" Jade said, as she pointed to a dart board on the other side of the compartment. "Oh, zat? Juste a....a..... mon Dieu, c'est quoi encore... Oh! A dart board, in english, ma petite . Vant to play?" The tall, slim driver said. His French accent stood out, which amused Jade. Slightly.
"Oh, sure. That would be nice." The officer handed Jade the darts, as she inspected the tips. Sharp metal, like a knife's tip. 8 darts, 5 of which she clenched in her right hand.
This just got interesting. -
Switch could hear everything going on in the room. The pain in her limbs was becoming unbearable. She couldn't take it if she had nothing to distract her from it. She studied the faces of all the people.
If worse comes to worse, I'll kill her in front of all of them. She decided. -
(I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your attention to detail on your parts. Your really good at this!)
-
"Were almost there, hun." The third driver said. She was short and scrawny, but very nice.
Almost an hour had past, and she knw the assasin was in the train. What she didn't know was a way to get out of compartment alive.
Let's see...if I start a scene again, things would get too suspicious. I'd break from the front window, but that would lead to too much attention. How can I escape discreetly?
It was then that the idea hit her.
"If...if only my cousin was here. She told me she'd be on the train: she's been looking for me. It's too bad she got into that bad habit of hers..."
The officer looked curious. "What habit?" "Oh, just drugs, specifically coccaine. She's only 15 you know, but she looks about 11 or 12. She's pretty, too. She'd be all alone on the train by now."
The officer had a wondering look on his face, then he exclaimed, "I think you''re cousin is here in the train! I'm sure I saw her! She has the black hair and the crystal necklace, right?" "Why...yes! Thank God you've found her!" Jade went and hugged the officer.
"I'm sorry, but laws around here state that we'll have to question her for drug abuse now. I'm sorry, hun." "Oh, don't worry. I'm sure that she'll learn her lesson: I just hope she's stopped using them....they make her different." Jade sobbed again, but a happier, more joyful sob.
Miss Killer is just going to have to wait with th cops until her drug questioning is over. Too bad, she was getting so close.
Jade couldn't help but chuckle, knowing that she was one step ahead of her killer. -
(Aw, thanks! You know, you're really good at this yourself. I thin kyou're the best User I've soaped with so far, other than Remy)
-
(Supper time, I'll be back.)
-
A large police officer came out from where her target was hiding, and headed straight toward her. She gasped shrply. Had the girl told them she was an assassin?
"Miss, we're gonna need to take you in for questioning, on charges of drug abuse." the man said in a deep voice.
Oh. she thought. How creative.
Her hand shot out quickly, grasping a soft point on the man's neck.
"You should sleep now." she said sweetly, pinching hard. He groaned and fell. Switch rolled her eyes.
Well that was weak.
Again, she leaned nonchalantly against the door, waiting for her target.
(Thank you! And also- talk to you again in a bit then.) -
"YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT YOUR DESTINATION: MONTREAL, QUEBEC." A loud speaker said.
"I'll take you, hun. We're going to have to follow Frank and your cousin, though."
"Oh, I don't mind." Jade knew that Frank was either dead, unconscious or missing. What kind of assasin just let her target slip away on account of "drug abuse charges"? A stupid one. But Jade knew that no assasin was ever truly stupid.
The doors of the driver's compartment opened, and a a few people were staring at Frank's unconscious body. "OH MY GOD!" A drama queen of a woman screamed, asttracting more attention from those who were boarding the train. A crowd was coming into place, staring at listening.
"Frank!" The female officer yelled out as she checked him for a pulse. "Pressure points" she muttered under her breath. She took out her walkie-talkie and spoke into, requesting immediate back-up.
Jade hid behind the cop, with a scared look on her face. Perfect.
"What about my cousin, Miss? Where's my cousin?" Jade asked. "Oh yeah, her," the cop said when she was done talking to the station. "Now, let's see," she took a look around, and spotted a small girl, hidden in the crowd. "You there! Little girl! Yeah, you, with the crystal necklace and the black hair! You wanna come over here, please?"
How wonderful. Everything is going according to plan. Let's see Little Miss avoid her questioning now. -
(You there?)
