Switch widened her eyes. She hadn't expected such a big crowd. The police woman called to her. She walked slowly toward the lady, gently squeezing past all of the people.
"Yes, maam?" she said obediently, her hand clasped around a bunch of her needles behind her back.
She grew tired of this game.
The moment the girl broke cover... -
Jade sniffled. "Oh, cuz! It's been so long...I've missed you so much! I'm sorry, but I had to tell the police. You understand, don't you? Trust me hun, it's for the best."
"Yes, yes it is. You're lucky to have such a sweet ol' cousin, Missy. She told us err'thing. Now, I think you should come with me to the station. I just need to know a bit about you, while we're here. I'd hate to be rude, ya know? So, name, please?" Th cop said, staring at the assasin squarely in the eyes. -
(Umm....you still alive?)
-
Switch stood there, staring at the policeman. And laughed.
Some could have mistaken her for a looney, as she began to laugh hysterically. The pain in her limbs was fiery and horrible, but she could ignore it easily this time. Finally she stopped, looking up at the dumbfounded police officer.
"I've a better idea." she said in a smooth and lethal voice. "Why don't you step aside and leave the girl to me?" she said resonably, pointing to her target. She would not play along with the girl's little game. The rules set were feeble. And Switch was ready to break them. She knew there was something wrong with her arm and her leg. But she didn't care. She would not be made a fool of. -
The policewoman was surprised at the threat in the young girl's voice. "Miss, if you are to argue and or avoid the questioning, or by chance attempt at insulting me at this point in time, you will be charged with obstruction of justice. Now, please come with me. I still need your name, you know."
The crowd was still there, but a few people had lost interest. No one had been able to hear what the the little girl said, but they were leftconfused after her fit of laughter.
"Sweetie, c'mon. This lady only wants to help you, not hurt you! She knows everything, remember that. Why don't you come with her now? We can play Hide and Seek later, if you like." Though Jade tried to cover it up with amusement, she was disturbed. There was something wrong with how her plan was unrolling.
It's not over yet...it''s not over yet... -
Switch wouldn't take it anymore. She would not let her target win.
"Shut it, tubby. I told you to step aside, and I meant it. If you do not move, I'll make you." she growled. Her eyes locked on her target. She seemed to be thinking about something else. That only served to make Switch angry. She was about to kill her, and she couldn't even focus on it.
Do you think I'm weak, wench? she thought angrily. -
(TUBBY xD)
The cop's eyes opened wide, as if looking at a zombie. "Ex....excuse me? Now who in the world lets you talk like that? I suggest you come here NOW. One more word out of you that wasn't called for, and you're spending a night with me, in the station. Ya understand?"
Jade took 2 darts from her pocket, hiding them behind her back. "Please, hun! Don't make this harder than it has to be, just come with the nice lady! She'll help you with your problems!"
"Hell, I've never seen a young lady so influenced by drugs like this." The cop said. Jade's eyes went wide for a moment. Uh oh. There goes Killer's idea of what the cop really knows. -
Switch held very still for a moment. She wondered if she should just kill the cop and her target. Standing still as she was began to make her limbs burn more fiercely. She inched closer, pulling the needls all the way out in front of her. She held them out threateningly.
"Look, lady, I'm not interested in you. Now if your so damn desperate to do a drug test on someone, why don't you drag your grandmother out of the grave and ask her to do it for you? I'm busy!" she growled, the pain forcing her to wince. -
"What?!" The cop was infuriated now.
"Ciao!" Jade screamed. SHe had been more focused on her escape then the conversation, this was her opening.
She ran down, through the crowd, to the train on the opposite side. It made the BEEP sound, which means the doors were about to close. She slid in, just in time.
She made it, but her wig hadn't. It floated and drifted towrds the crowd, landing squarely between the cop and the Killer.
The train was heading to the Bel-Centre, and so was the one that would be at the station in 5 minutes.
So long, Killer. You've just been out done. -
(I don't understand what just happened. Please explain?)
-
(There are more than one train in the station. The one we were in was stalled, but the other ones beside us are still boarding. Jade was waiting for a specific train to board, so she was stalling. It came just in time, so she made a run for it. She barely made it. She had been in dusguise, so her blonde wig flew off in the commotion and landed in front of Switch. Switch is stuck in the middle of the crowd with the policewoman there, wathcing what has just happened. xD )
-
(Oh. Well. Sucks for Switch. Now she's gotta try and follow her again. On foot. With a broken leg.)
Switch stared out the door where her target had vanished. Her mouth gaped wide open, her eyes wide. It was silent for a moment.
Then she snapped.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED!!" she shrieked, pounding her fist on the wall. She found the switch that made the train stop, and forced the door open. Distracted by rage, the pain ebbed away as she sprinted after the departing train. She would never catch up. She just had to follow it.
She heard voices shoutign behind her. She didn't care. Finally, she had a piece of prey that would fight. And she hated it. -
Jade chuckled to herself and took out her magazine. She was proud: she'd slipped right through, without a moment's notice.
She took out another wig: a short, redheaded one this time. She changed coats again, this time putting on a light blue blazer. She redid her makeup, letting it give her the illusion of darker, tanner skin.
She then proceeded to planning what to do next.
Killer must be mad by now, fresh on my tail. If I get off at the Bell Centre, it would be too obvious. Though, there's always a crowd there. Either that, or I get off at the Pointe-Claire railroad switch. Lots of trees and forests, but ot many people to keep my cover. What to do... -
Switch ran painfully after. She knew that following it all the way to it's next stop would not be a problem. She had trained herself for this kind of thing. She would ignore the pain. She cold not fail this assignment. She knew the price.
A life for a life. Either her target died, or she did. She sped a bit, following closely after the train. -
Jade smiled. She had just realized that she would be 10 whole minutes ahead of her opponent. Unless, of course, she was running after a speeding train or had gotten on already. Both of which are impossible, even for an assasin.
Or so she thought.
Wait a minute! Today's Terry Fox Day! All of the railroad will be crammed with people and runners alike...Pointe-Claire it is, then.
