Jade walked swiftly down the road, looking around for any followers. Though it was hard to see in the dead of night, her emerald eyes eventually adjusted to the dim moonlight. The slight breeze blew through her shiny curls, and and her breath quickened as she thought of the consequences of what she'd done. -
Switch moved stealthily, staying close to the shadows. She thought again of her mission details, rehearsing them in her mind.
A girl, age sixteen. Jade. Charged with aquiring knowledge which was strictly denied to the public, for the purposes of Eathes security. Eliminate at all costs. She winced at the fresh pain in her shoulder, and her leg. She had not had time to visit the infirmary since her last target had dislocated her shoulder and broken her leg. Her fist clenched tighter on her handful fo needles. -
Jade turned the corner, walking cat-like, no sound escaping from her bare feet. She barely made it alive after the Questioning at Eathes, and it was dangerous enough that her memory hadn't been wiped after all.
She remembered all of what she had learned, and knew that they were looking for her. What she didn't know was how close they were. -
Switch ignored the pain. The wench hadn't seen anything yet. She had never met a trained assassin from Eathes. And she would never meet more than one- her. Switch was the best tracker, and needle weider, at Eathes. No one beat her. Even as injured as she was..

Jade took a look around and realized that thisa was the place: a small, abandoned church. She walked inside and closed the door, hoping that she'd be safe by now.
Eathes thought they had known everything about her, but there was one thing they didn't know: how she had gotten away. Exactly how she knew where to go, and which passage would lead her away.
How she killed Shade was another thing they would never know, considering she's taking a permanent leave of absence from Eathes, or so they think.
Then again, they'd find out eventually: once an assasin, always an assasin. A leave of absence isn't exactly acceptable in that type of trade.
