I took advantage of the freedom, sprinting as fast as I could down the street. The hospital was miles away... Looks like 8 years of cross country should pay off now, I thought as I ran. The feel of my muscles burning, pulling and working together was refreshing. I wanted to escape this world, to keep running and never stop, never look back.
-
I really didn't know what to do. An empty void started to form somewhere inside me. That wasn't the Sam I knew... the one that used to curl up against me when she had nightmares.. the.. the innocent little girl I used to know. But she had escaped me, and I wanted her back.
-
I ran faster and faster... But nothing was fast enough. I needed to go at the speed of light, to feel the whoosh of time through my hair. I didn't want to be limited to how far I could go. I wanted to leave everything behind. But the one thing I wanted to get as far away from was... Myself.
-
My post seems kinda pedo-ish ...
"Look what you did now, dumb---." I muttered to myself. "You've recked you're own life and your families without meaning too."
"Smooth." -
xD Let's not go there, hahahaha...
"s---, I breathed. It's cold..." I slipped around the back of a vacant building and slid down the wall, rubbing my arms against myself. "Jesus," i whispered. My skin was verging on a bright red coloration... But somehow a ghastly pale white at the same time. After moment I got up; I had caught my breath but was unsuccessful at warming up. I had to keep moving. I had to get to the hospital and hold Tammy in my arms forever. But I knew even that wouldn't make up for anything. -
I took a deep breath. Need. To. Find. Sam.
-
I stopped at an intersection, completely clueless as to which direction to go. Nice plan, Sam... I took a deep breath and pressed the crosswalk button. Hurry up stupid timer... The red hand wouldn't go away. I looked both ways. There were no cars coming. I sighed and decided to cross.
-
Uh oh...
I took off running in Sam's direction. Soccer had payed off after all. -
I took my time, seeing as no cars were coming anyway. Somehow I managed to trip over my own two feet, causing me to fall about halfway across the road.
-
Faster and faster I ran, no mattered how out of tired I got. "C'mon, gotta find her..." I muttered breathlessly.
-
I yelped when my head hit the tar. I could feel it tear at my skin. s---... The world spun rapidly around me I struggled to get up, but I had a serious case of vertigo. I clutched at my head, trying to steady it, though I knew it wasn't exactly spinning. The next time I tried I reach my feet, only to fall once again after attempting to walk. Just then I heard a noise, a whoosh... It was a car, coming down the road. I scrambled to get up, but each time it was a hopeless endeavor. I winced as the automobile came closer, closer, and closer still...
-
I dunno how to stop this D:
Finally, I came to somewhere near the hospital... I knew Sam couldn't had been far away. -
I've got it handled. ;l
I tried to drag myself across the road, clawing at the tar beneath me. Owww... It hurt like hell, scraping against my stomach, arms, and legs. The car drove ever closer. It was so close I could hear it's gears shifting. I did the only thing I could do. I kept trying to get up and dragging myself towards the other side. It was a few feet away. I opened my mouth to scream, but nothing but air came out. My throat was frozen in fear, as was the rest of me. I shut my eyes tightly, waiting for the searing pain... -
:O
Truth was, I was panicking. What if someone shot her? If dad had escaped from prison? If.... if... if everything. -
...That never came. I heard a car door open and shut and hurried footsteps approach me.
