I remember when internet forums were a thing. When it was the cool place to be, to make friends, to get cyber bullied, to get scammed, to make memories. Holy s---, I'm old.
I was literally 9 when I first got on this site. Ten years ago. Ten f---ing years I've watched this place change, and all of my friends disappear. I've watched Doug change the site a hundred thousand times.
Now, the offbeat has a post 3 days old on the front page. In GTQs prime, you'd be clicking 10+ pages back to get that far.
Wow. It was so nice growing up with this site. The older users were my quasi-parents, my dead friend Hunter started me on the path to drugs, and I learned of mental illness that would later ruin my life.
I f---ing love this place. RIP. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it fell in one. -

It is true, but it's dying very slowly. People have been saying it's dying for years, hell it wasn't long after I joined I started seeing "This site is dying isn't it?" posts and it won't truly be dead until the very last person, presumably GTQ Guy, moves on and let's the sit close down because no one uses it. I've seen forums where posts happen on a every-few-months basis and they are considered alive., This place isn't dead yet, and won't be for a long time, even if it is suffering of old age.
