"What about her father? Does he allow this?" I asked, hoping the answer was no.

'she doesn't have a father anymore.' Sue sighed.

"Oh." I said, feeling even more sympathy.

'I think we'd better leave.' Sue whispered, noticing that Margarette White was glaring at them. Her eyes seemed to pierce her soul.

"Okay." I said, eyes full of tears. I turned from the window, and walked to the other side of the street.

Hours later
I perched myself on my dressing table, my mother's horrible deed haunting me. There was no way that I could sleep! -
As time went on, I realized I had no place to stay. Though really, even outside in the wilderness would've been better then a pig sty.

Sue opened up her door and said goodbye to Marita.

"Goodbye, I hope we see each other again soon." I said, walking down the road once more.

'So do I.' Sue smiled, before closing the door.

After a few hours of walking, I decided to rest near a pond. The surrounding moss was soft, and the trees gave off a fresh and wonderful scent.

Carri stared at herself in the mirror. Her ratty hair. Her flushed cheeks and trembling lips. 'I'm so ugly.' She sighed to herself 'I really am.'

"Goodnight Maine." I said, curling up and drifting of to sleep.

After a couple more seconds of staring, the mirror shattered.

My dream, no, my nightmare was about life back in Ouge. How Lady Harrold treated me, and how everyone ignored me.
