'Oh.' Sue nodded 'Well, I'm sorry I was so rude just now.'
'I didn't sin, Momma! Why didn't you tell me? I thought I was dying!' I cried. My mother began to smack me with her copy of the bible, and forced me to read out a passage of the bible, concerning the "curse of blood". -
"It's quite alright, I'm used to it." I said, smiling.

The brunette beamed at the kind stranger. 'I'm Sue Snell.' she introduced

"I'm Marita Yamaha, it's nice to meet you." I said.

My Momma knelt down and clasped my hands together in a prayer
'Dearest Lord, forgive this sinning whore of her wicked ways.' she cried out. I sobbed and begged for her to stop it. -
Sue smiled at Marita. Suddenly, screaming poisoned the air. Coming from Carrie's house. Which made things twice as awful for her, since she lived right next door to The White's!

"What is that?" I asked.

'I don't know,' Sue replied,suspiciosuly 'let's go check it out.'
'Shut up!' Mother shrieked at me, grabbing my wrist. She opened the closet door, and began to repeat that same Bible passage that I read as she shoved me inside. -
I nodded, and started off toward the large house where the screaming came from.

My Mother slammed the door behind her, locking it. She finished the passage with: 'And the second curse was childbirth...'
'Momma! Let me out! Momma!' I wailed, tears streaming down my cheeks. Hammering on the doors, I continued to cry out for help. -
Sue watched, open mouthed.

"That's terrible!" I said.

'Oh, my God.' Sue gasped.
I dropped to my knees, feeling fresh tears prickle my eyeballs. -
"Why would someone do that? And her mother, no less." I said, sympathy filling my soul.

'Her mom's a crazy woman.' Ms. Snell confessed, a mixture of sympathy and guilt polluting her voice.
