  I grimaced as Cathy, a daughter of Ares, pinned me to the ground at swordpoint. "I swear, Liz, you're getting worse!" I was tempted to pull out my wand and hex Cathy, but the image of the Dementors was imprinted in my mind, and I shivered involuntarily. I did not want to be sent to Azkaban for underage use of magic.

  (I have to go. My mom wants me to walk the dogs... AGAIN. She never does it anymore. *groans*)
  "Hey Fire," He said, sitting down next to me on the bank. I smiled at the nickname, even though I had been hearing it for years. "Hi Percy." I said in my tired voice. I was pretty bored. He frowned. "What's wrong?" "Oh, nothing. Just really bored, and..." I trailed off, not wanting to continue. "What?" Percy prompted gently, putting his arm around my shoulder. I felt all warm inside, but sighed all the same. "Dad won't contact me. The last time he did was last year. He said he didn't want the gods talking to their children." I put my head on his shoulder, feeling comforted as he stroked my arm.
