Kai felt uncertain with what Casimir was saying. Although Fred was known not to like loud noises, it wasn't normal for Casimir to have an outburst. Something had to be bothering him more than usual. Kai knelt down next to the window and started to pick up the broken glass. "What's actually wrong with you?" He stated. He knew he was probably being too blunt, but he wanted to know why his friend was distraught. As he gathered the last of the glass, he threw it in the trash-can that was next to the entrance.

Juniper came and sat next to caisimer. “Kai is right, this isn’t normal.” They said. Genuinely concerned.

Casimir sighed. He slid off the bed and onto the floor, crossing his legs and staring at his hands. He clenched them together to stop them from shaking and looked up at Kai, then at Juniper. ‘It’s tomorrow,’ he mumbled. He got up with a bit of struggle and pulled out his cat calendar from his desk drawer, opening it up and showing them the pages for this month. The picture was a black cat with yellow eyes, like Fred’s. The 21st had been scribbled on and annotated so many times that the date was no longer visible. ‘My ten-year anniversary of being stuck in this place,’ he said, giving a weak smile, which quickly faded. ‘Not that I hate being here. I just hate being here.’ Fred came back and perched himself on the window sill, watching the four. ‘I can’t help but wonder if something - or someone - is going to come along ruin everything to help us celebrate.’ Casimir sighed and closed the calendar.
‘Sorry for the noise. I never liked that chair,’ he mumbled as he put the calendar away, and turned to face them with a forced smile. ‘Anyway, that’s tomorrow me’s problem. No need to worry, my friends, everything is fine.’ -
"Are- are you sure, Casimir?" Eloise asked softly, watching their friend. "We- I mean, we're here for you if you need anything, you know that, right?"

Kai nodded, thinking about what Casimir said for a moment. He understood why he was concerned. Deep down, he felt like it effected all of them. He listened to Eloise, and nodded in agreement. "We are here for you, and if you need anything let us know. This place wouldn't be what it is without you." He said with a soft smile.

“We’re always here, not like we have anywhere else to go.” Juniper bit their lip, not sure what to say.

‘It’s fine, I’ll be fine,’ Casimir said, smile weakening for a moment, before he sat back down on his bed next to Juniper. Fred flew into the room and perched himself on Casimir’s desk. Casimir made a clicking sound with his mouth and held out his arm. Fred flew onto his arm and nipped at his hair.
‘You all seem rather uneasy lately,’ Casimir said in an attempt to direct the attention to someone else. He looked at Kai, then Eloise. ‘Anything else we need to, um, talk about while we’re all gathered here? Tomorrow’s performance is supposed to be a big one.’ -
Eloise froze up a little, their hand starting to shake a little. They didn't want to tell Casimir that they felt something was wrong, that things were happening around they, like- like they felt unbalanced. Like their powers, for example, were acting up. "Uh, no- nope, I- I think I'm good," they replied with an awkward chuckle, crossing their arms over their chest.
