The Cheerleaders by John Hall.
It's horror and it's soo good. But it's old, and hard to find. -
If you liked The Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole series, then you should read the Wolves Of The Beyond series. They're also by Kathryn Lasky, and are kinda like what's happening on the main land durring/ after the owl war
