"Yeah." Jayden nodded, looking down.

‘Do you want to give it time? I-It’s fine if not and you want to… leave… but I can wait..’

Jayden paused, looking down. "I-I want to try..." He mumbled, pulling his hand away. "But I don't want to make you wait..."

‘I’m fine with waiting,’ Chester said quietly, ears drooping when Jayden pulled away.

"But how long until I'm just stalling to break up?" Jayden mumbled, half hoping Chester didn't hear.

Chester’s face fell. He looked away, hugging himself. ‘I don’t know,’ he mumbled. ‘I-I’m sorry.’

Jayden frowned, hating the look on Chester's face. He grabbed his hand quickly. "I'm sorry." He whispered, pulling him closer, wanting him to forget he ever said that.

Chester morphed into a half cat, then a half bunny, growing an inch or two shorter. He shook his head, looking down at their hands. ‘It’s fine.’

"No it isn't." Jayden pulled himself closer. "I-I can get over it, I promise."

Chester shook his head, looking down and curling up. ‘I should’ve told you sooner.’

"No it's-it's alright, really." Jayden sighed, looking down.

Chester shook his head. ‘It’s not if you’re reacting like this.’

Jayden looked down, sighing. "What do you want to happen?"

‘I want you to stay and say you love me and that everything will be okay,’ Chester mumbled.

Jayden rubbed his hand with his thumb, not saying anything.
