Maeve offered him a roll. "I think Patton threw out your plate while I left."

Chester sighed, taking the roll. 'Thanks.'

"You're welcome." Maeve watched him.

Chester bit into it .

Maeve kept watching him in concern. It was her brother, after all.

Chester gave a forced smile.

Maeve just frowned, knowing he was faking it.

Chester looked back down at his roll, taking another bite.

Maeve stood up after a bit. "I'm going in my room. Don't do anything you'll regret."

‘Alright,’ Chester muttered.

Maeve disappeared.

Chester stood up with his roll and walked back to his room.

Jayden was still sitting on his bed, staring at his shoes.

Chester sat down next to him, taking a bite from his roll.
