Jayd took his hand tentatively.

Chester let him, face lighting up.

Jayden smiled weakly.

Chester interlaced their fingers, not wanting to go too far.

Jayden let him, staring at their hands.

Chester watched him, searching for any signs of discomfort.

Jayden was a little uncomfortable, but tried to hide it. He didn't mind too much, really.

Chester looked down, feeling bad.

Jayden noticed his demeanor change. "Hey, what's wrong?"

Chester feigned a smile. ‘Nothing, everything’s great.’ He didn’t want to burden Jayden more than he already had.

"Don't lie to me." Jayden frowned.

Chester shook his hear. ‘It doesn’t matter.’

"No, don't say that, I want to know."

Chester looked down, letting go of his hand.

Jayden frowned, looking up at him. "Please tell me."
