Jayden rolled his eyes. He noticed Beatrice's expression and pulled Chester closer.

Chester nestled into his arms, trying to ignore Beatrice.
‘Chester, don’t be such a baby. That shapeshifting thing you do is disgusting.’ -
Jayden glared. "Leave my boyfriend alone." He demanded, petting Chester gently.

Beatrice rolled her eyes. ‘Whatever.’

Their food came, and Jayden ate his quickly, offering some to Chester.

Chester ate some.

Jayden smiled. "Do you want to shapeshift back and eat some more?" He asked quietly.

Chester shook his head, slumping against Jayden.

"Okay." Jayd nodded, understanding. "Do you want to leave?"

Chester nodded, mewling softly.

Jayden picked him up before setting him on the ground and taking one of the plates that nobody was eating. "Can you lead the way to Maeve's room?"

Chester mewled and started walking. He trotted down the hall, making sure not to run ahead of Jayden.

Jayden followed him.

They got to Maeve’s room. Chester stopped by the door and sat.

Jayden knocked on the door.
"Go away." Maeve said from inside.
"It's just me and Chester, we come in peace. And with cinnamon rolls."
