Chester nodded. 'Okay,' he said quietly.

"Me and Maeve were just having a fun little bonding time while we waited, weren't we?" Beatrice said with a fake smile, wrapping an arm around Maeve's shoulder.
"Yup. Loads of fun." Maeve said unenthusiastically. -
'Ah,' Chester said quietly. 'What did you two, er, talk about?' He got an icky feeling with his ex touching his sister. He wanted to punch Beatrice.

"Girls stuff." Beatrice said, like it didn't matter in the slightest. "You wouldn't get it."

'I've practically raised Maeve for 6 years. I think I'd understand.'

Beatrice rolled her eyes. "So nosy."
Maeve shoved Beatrice off of her. "I'm going in my room." She mumbled before disappearing. -
Chester glared at Beatrice, clenching Jayden's hand. He morphed into a cat to calm himself down, not wanting his phoenix form to scare Jayden (it had certainly scared SOMEONE) and crawled into his boyfriend's lap.

Jayden raised his eyebrows in surprise, but let him.

Chester snuggled up to Jayden.

Jayd pet the top of his head, looking up at Beatrice after a bit.

Beatrice rolled her eyes.

Jayden narrowed his eyes. "What did you do?" He snapped.

‘I was talking to Maeve, haven’t you been listening?’ Beatrice scoffed.

Jayden rolled his eyes. "I'm not that dumb. What did you say to her?"

‘That’s none of your business,’ Beatrice snapped, resting her chin in her hand. She looked down at Chester and wrinkled her nose.
