If you thought holding Chester was having butterflies in his stomach, you hadn't seen how Jayden felt yet. Oh my god I'm actually in his arms holy- Jayden snuggled further into him. "Ok." He murmured so softly he doubt Chester could hear it.

Chester smiled, resting his head in the crook of Jayden’s neck, careful not to touch his hair. He didn’t let go for quite a while, long enough for it to be awkward. He sighed softly. ‘Do you want to tell me why you got triggered?’ he asked gently.

"I-I just..." Jayden had to pause to find the right words instead of everything he said coming out as an incoherent waste of time.

Chester stayed quiet, letting him say what he needed to.

"My... My ex boyfriend, Benji. He-he used to pull my hair. It used to be sort of endearing, like... Whenever he wanted attention he'd just pull my hair gently and... yeah. Only, over time it got.... Less gentle. And he'd do it more and more, and when we got in fights he'd just..." He never finished his sentence with that one. "It was his way of telling me to do a better job at being a boyfriend." Jayden pulled away from Chester as he explained.

Chester let him pull away. He grabbed Jayden’s hand, though, and massaged the back of it gently as he listened. ‘That’s horrible,’ he said, looking at him empathetically. ‘He sounds like a s---ty person. You didn’t deserve that. You’re kind and your hair is really pretty.’

Jayd blushed when he took his hand, but let him. "Yeah, he was." He mumbled, looking up at Chester.

Chester gave a small smile, then let go of his hand. ‘Come, let’s get some lunch into you,’ he said, standing up and holding his hand out to help Jayden up.

Jayden nodded, giving a hint of a smile back before taking his hands and standing up.

Chester didn’t let go of his hands as he walked to the door. He opened it and lead Jayden through.

Jayd walked in. "Thanks."

‘For what, comforting you or opening the door?’ Chester asked in a teasing tone.

"Both." Jayden chuckled.

‘Well then, you’re welcome,’ Chester said with a grin.

Jayden beamed.
(we can do whichever... I mean, tHe ScEnE would fit in this day because it makes sense that Jayden wouldn't know his way around by now, but it being the next day would make pacing seem more reasonable ig)
