She choked on her own snot and tears. Her legs felt weak and numb. Where would she go? What would she do? These questions swirled in her mind as she ran. Soon, after what felt like forever, she paused and glanced behind her. Nobody was chasing after her.
She caught her breath and rubbed her side, then wiped the tears and snot from her face. It felt ridiculous. This whole thing.
Those wicked teenagers were her family. That criminal man was her elder.
What would happen now?
(Sorry, I have a case of writer's stump at the moment đŸ˜‚) -
Holli couldn't go back home, not now, or ever. She kicked a rock and it flew across the street, making a small bang as it landed. Holli was still holding onto a crumpled roll of paper. As she walked into the street-light she examined it closely. The paper looked fresh, and as she retrieved her finger from inside the scroll...
it was covered in ink. She carefully unrolled the note, and started to read.
Dear Sebastian,
I have already lied and stole for you enough. My family thinks me dead and I have lost half of my belongings. I shall not write my current address on here-until we can find a safer way too message. The post-box is too public but so is the Graveyard, I suppose. I have one request- DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY GRANDAUGHTER!
Yes, I received your letter Seb and I honestly don't care if she wants too know who you are!
She is an inquisitive young girl, who's had a hard life. So Seb, I beg you leave her alone-she will only become more interested about who you are and what you do. But if you are even thinking about the worst possible way too deal with her, I'll rip out your throat.
Yours,
~Rosalie ~ -
(It's fine-I had that before and it's really annoying because you don't know what too write and for me I could only write descriptions! :D~

She sighed and rolled it back up again, stuffed it in her backpack. Who know old people could be so aggressive?
The memory of what had just happened swirled around her head, as she continued to try to process it. All she knew was that she couldn't stay here any longer. She had to keep moving.
Holli walked down the empty street, careful on the wet concrete. There were barely any cars out, so it must've been about 1am. She wrapped her arms around herself, shivering. Now she wished she could be back at home, tucked safely under her covers. She sighed, walked past an alleyway. Then paused, hearing a sound. Someone was crying. -
She stood still in shock...
Should she check it out? It could be a trap! Holli shook the worry off, nothing could be worse then what had happened tonight. Being kidnapped, meeting Sebastian Longwood finding a scroll that suggested her Grandmother was still alive. Wait! If her grandmother was alive... Sebastian knew! The note was meant for Sebastian. Seb-that was what Rosalie had called him.
The crying got louder. Holli sighed and started walking down the alleyway. "Hello?" she called.
The crying turned into wailing.
"Shush! It's alright, I'll help you." Holli looked around for a child or even a baby but found nothing. Then she banged her head and everything went black. -
Rewrite Last Line:
Suddenly she felt unstable, she whipped round-saw gleaming eyes then she had whacked her head and everything went black. -
By now, she was getting used to blacking out. When she opened her eyes, three silhouettes stood above her. The three teenagers.
'Not you again,' she groaned, sitting up. Her head throbbed and her back ached.
'Shush,' said the tall one. The dark-haired one helped her up. 'We're done being criminals. We want to help you.'
'Really?' Holli was skeptical. It could be a trap.
'Yes. Grandad has been using us time and time again for his capers and crimes. We don't want it anymore,' piped up the youngest one. He couldn't have been much older than Holli. -
"Fine. I'm Holli, I'm 12years old. You?" she shook hands with the youngest boy.
"William Longwood. 13" He glanced at his older brothers.
The dark-haired boy looked her up and down then held out his hand. "Jason Longwood. 15"
The third blonde-boy sighed. "I'm Charlie Longwood. 14"
"Right. What made you change your mind?" Holli questioned.
The three boys shared a look. "You did. I mean we were thinking about it before be we were too scared. I mean we ain't no cowards, we've done some real dirty jobs before-" Jason cut of seeing Holli's expression.
"We ain't killed no-one or anything! Mostly just stole" He explained.
Holli sighed in relief but then glared. "Why?"
William grinned sadly. "Tell you later. Let Jason continue alright?" His gaze on Lizzy made her squirm on the insides.
"Thanks. Anyways, we were kidnapping you but we were thinking about quitting a while ago. When Rosalie was forced into the job."
Holli flinched. "Did you just say Rosalie?" "As uhm, Rosalie Longwood-my grandmother!" "Your lying! She's dead!" She protested.
William grabbed her hand. "Holli-she's not dead! I know where she is!" -
'What about the funeral?! The will.. the empty house... You're telling me it's fake?!' she demanded, pulling away. She had so many questions. Why was she not forced into it? We're her parents also criminals? Where was her grandmother?
The three boys saw the look on her face, not replying. Holli wiped her eyes, realising she was crying.
William pursed his lips, then sighed. Jason looked away. Charlie folded his arms. 'What do we do now?' she whispered, unable to manage anything more without having a breakdown.
'I suppose we rest here for the night,' Jason said, sitting down. 'Have any food?'
Holli opened her backpack and pulled out the biscuit packets and bread rolls, setting them on the concrete.
Charlie refused to eat. Holli had offered him a bread roll, but he rudely declined. Even William and Jason tried. They yelled, teased, Jason even hit him once. He just sat there, head resting in his cupped hands.
When they decided it was really late, they tried to sleep. Deep into the night, Holli was still awake. William was too. He shuffled next to her, resting his hand on hers. He must've seen her puffy eyes, because he said, 'Don't cry. It'll be OK.'
Holli forced a smile, but looked away. -
She must of slept because when she awoke it was light. William lay next to her eyes closed, so did Jason. But Charlie was gone. Holli stumbled up careful not too tread on the sleeping boys-too a note where Charlie had been sleeping. She took a deep breath and opened it up.
(Sorry it's so short I have to go) -
I'm not staying with my dumb brothers and a child. I'm leaving.
Holli sighed, wishing she hadn't woke up. She tucked the remaining food into her backpack and sat down watching the teenagers sleep. A while later, William woke and sat up.
'Where's Charlie?' he asked, rubbing his eyes.
'Gone,' she sighed, handing him the note.
William muttered a bad word under his breath. He crumpled it up and tossed it away. 'He'll come back,' he said. 'Sooner or later he'll get hungry and come back.'
Holli wasn't so sure. -
Something in her gut told her too run, told her that Charlie had gone back too Sebastian. If so, what would happen to her? And, what would happen to Jason and William? Holli shivered in disgust.
"You cold?" William asked.
Holli shook her head.
"Right. I better wake Jason up."
"Wait-William I know you won't believe me but I think Charlie has gone back to Sebastian. I think he's looking for us!" Holli explained hurriedly.
"Holli. I don't know-Charlie wouldn't do something like that...." A trig snapped beneath his foot.
"It's near here! Jason and Will they camped here with that girl."
William shook his head sadly. "Jason! Jason wake up. We've got to go now!"
Jason's eyes shot open. "What? Where's Charlie?" He asked.
"He's gone. He went to get Sebastian Longwood. There coming for us now! We have too run Jason-we don't have a choice. I know he's your brother but.." Holli tried to explain.
"Filthy beast" Jason muttered.
"Jay! We have too run now!" William called. -
So they gathered their things and sprinted. The clouds rumbled and growled above them. They ran and ran, even when they were choking on their own breath and their eyes watered. They ran down bustling streets without looking back. They sped across roads and cut between cars without looking left and right.
Holli's feet slipped and slid on the wet concrete, and it started to rain. Her leg gave way under her and she collapsed on the ground, huffing and puffing.
'Holli!' William shouted, stopping to grab her arm and pull her up. She had no idea how he had energy. 'Are you OK?'
'How long have we been running?' she huffed, leaning on him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. They'd known each other for less than a day, and yet it felt like they'd known each other forever.
Jason sat on the concrete, heaving breath into his lungs. 'A while. We can rest for a bit, then keep going.' They sat down and pulled out Holli's food. When they finished, there was just half a bread roll and 5 biscuits.
'There's not much left,' Jason sighed.
'Do you have money? We can get something from the market,' Holli suggested. They emptied their pockets, and ended up with lint, a button, a bit of crumpled up paper and $20. -
(Also can make it be that either Jason or William be adopted by Sebastian? I don't want to offend anyone but I think it could add to the story's dRaMa)
-
(Sure! I'm happy with Jason being adopted. Do you think Holli and William should have a romance?)
They carried on walking till they got too a shop. "So, who's going in?" Holli asked.
"Not you!" Jason replied ripping a piece of paper of the wall with Holli on it.
"Holli, What happened before we kidnapped you?" William asked gently.
"Ran away." Holli stated-she didn't want to talk about it.
"Fine, I'll go then!" Jason decided.
"Alright, be careful bro." William warned.
"Don't worry Willy!" Jason joked ruffling his hair.
William gave him a playful glare and watched as he walked away.
He then put his arm round Holli who was trying not too cry. "Come on. Tell me about it."
(Sorry, if it's not very good)
