“f---, I’m so nervous, Nick-“ Clay said, pacing back and forth in front of the picnic blanket with a spread of food and drinks for him and George. “What if- God, what if it’s too soon? I mean- We’ve- We’ve been dating for a few years now, but-“
“Clay, dude, relax,” Nick said with a chuckle, stopping Clay from pacing. “You two both love each other, right?” Clay looked down a little at his friend, nodding. “So, why are you doubting? I mean, you guys have been together for forever now, I’m sure he wants to take it a step further as well.”
Clay sighed and nodded, crossing his arms. “I know, I’m just nervous- What if he says no, Nick?”
“Then he says no. It’s not a crazy big deal, it just means he’s not ready,” Nick said, chuckling as he gave Clay a pat on the back. “If you want my opinion, though, I seriously think he’s gonna say yes, dude~” He smirked playfully at his friend, chuckling.
Clay blushed and chuckled, nodding. He felt his phone buzz and pulled it out, seeing a text from George letting him know he was almost at the beach. “s---, he’s almost here-“
“Ay, good luck, man~” Nick said with a smirk, backing up. “I’m rootin’ for you, dude!” He turned and walked over to his car, hopping in and leaving. Clay exhaled nervously as he wrung his hands together, waiting nervously for his boyfriend to arrive.

George climbed out of his Uber and thanked the driver, shutting the door with a smile. He rushed down the boardwalk to the beach and looked around for a moment, spotting Clay standing with his back turned to him staring at the picnic he had set out. He smirked and walked over, snaking his arms around the blonde’s waist and hugging him from behind. “Come here often~?”
Clay flinched and chuckled, relaxing when he heard George’s voice. “Mm, maybe if it means I’ll get to see you~“ He said with a smirk, turning around in the brunette’s arms. He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, hugging him and slightly lifting him off the ground. “Hey, baby~”
“Hi~“ George said with a smile, pressing a kiss on Clay’s lips.
The blonde kissed him back with a smile, holding him close. “How was your flight?” He asked as he let go, taking George’s hands in his own.
“Good- Long and tiring, but good,” George replied with a chuckle, gently squeezing Clay’s hands. “I still don’t know why we’re doing a date like, almost right after I get back,” he added, giggling softly.
“I just- I couldn’t wait~” Clay joked, chuckling softly as he kissed George’s nose. “C’mon, I’m sure you’re hungry- Got all your favorites~“ He turned, moving over to the picnic blanket.
“I’m seein’ somethin’ I like right in front of me~” George teased with a smirk, tapping Clay’s ass as he followed him to the blanket.
The blonde gasped and blushed, chuckling a little. “Don’t worry, you’ll get your fill later~” Clay teased with a smirk, winking playfully at George. The brunette blushed, rolling his eyes. He chuckled and grabbed George’s hand, leading him over to the picnic blanket and sitting him down. They talked for a while, eating the food Clay prepared, just enjoying each other’s company.

“You wanna swim?” George asked as he stood to his feet, looking down at his boyfriend. Clay smiled, nodding as he stood up. He pulled his shirt off, running a hand through his hair. “Last one in has to drive home!” George teased, running towards the water after he took off his shirt.
“Pfft- You still can’t drive, what the f--- are you talking about?!” Clay exclaimed, laughing as he ran after George. He ran over and caught up to his boyfriend, wrapping his arms around him and lifting him off the ground and keeping him out of the water
“AH HELP-“ George shouted, laughing as he clung to Clay. “Literally put me down, you’re gonna drop me!”
“Jesus, relax! I won’t drop you, promise!” Clay said with a laugh, hugging George close and kissing his jaw. He set him down after a moment, keeping his arms around his boyfriend’s waist as he followed him a bit deeper into the water. He held George close, kissing his jaw with a smile. “God, I’ve missed you~”
“I’ve missed you, too, Clay,” George said with a smile, resting his hands on top of Clay’s and leaning into him. “God, I really do hate having to travel to see you, like- One, it’s so f---ing expensive, and two-“
“You miss me too much~?” Clay teased, pressing a kiss on George’s neck.
George shivered a little from the kiss, chuckling softly. “Mm, maybe juuust a little~” He replied with a quiet giggle, rubbing his thumb over Clay’s hand.
“Have you thought about just like, moving here? Or me moving to the UK?” Clay asked, resting his head on George’s shoulder. “I’d so be down to move, honestly-“
“I have, yeah,” George said, nodding. “I- I’d seriously love to move here, honestly.” Clay smiled and hugged George close, kissing his shoulder. The brunette turned around, looking up at Clay. “Seriously, maybe- Maybe I should move here~”
“Ooh, someone’s sure taking a liking to Florida~” Clay teased, chuckling.
“More like a certain guy in Florida~” George joked, smirking playfully as he pressed a kiss on Clay’s lips. He admired the blonde for a moment, a small, lovesick grin on his face. “I- I love you, Clay~“
Clay blushed bright red, smiling. “f---, I love you too, George~” He said, smiling as he let go of George. “God, I- Seriously, since the day I met you, I fell in love with you.”
“Because of my devilishly handsome looks~?” George joked with a chuckle, crossing his arms with a smirk.
“Well, that- And just, you- You’re such a funny guy, and so sweet,” Clay said, smiling, “even if you pretend you don’t~” George rolled his eyes, chuckling as he admired Clay. The blonde stuck one hand in the pocket of his swim trunks, his hand clutching over a small box. “I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am if I hadn’t met you. You changed my life, George-“ He moved back a little and got down on one knee, pulling his hand nervously out of his pocket. “And, I want you to keep changing it for the better.” George let out a gasp, taking a step back. “George Henderson, will you marry me?”
George smiled as he watched Clay, a small laugh escaping his mouth. The laughter grew and Clay chuckled nervously, watching as George dug a hand into the pocket of his own swim trunks. “Guess we had the same idea,” he said with a lovesick grin, pulling out a similar box with a ring inside. Clay covered his mouth with his free hand, tears of joy brimming in his eyes. “Oh my f---ing God-“ The blonde laughed as he stood to his feet, tears slowly running down his face.
“God, why are we like this?” Clay said, laughing as he moved over to George and wrapping his arms around his boyfriend.
“I don’t know~“ George said with a laugh, tears filling his own eyes as he hugged Clay back. They stayed there for a moment, holding each other close before letting go. “So, is- Is that a yes? Because my answer is one hundred percent a yes-“
“God, yes! Yes, I’ll marry you~” Clay said with a laugh, kissing George’s lips. George smiled and held his boyfriend close, kissing him back. They parted after a moment, smiling happily as they slid the rings onto each other’s hands. “Well, that definitely didn’t go how I thought it would- But f---, I’m so happy~”
George laughed, nodding as he ran a hand through his hair. “Same here~” He paused and smirked, looking over at Clay. “Care to celebrate in the car~?” Clay blushed and chuckled, nodding quickly. -
(ngl, it sounds a little goofy re-reading it, but f--- it, we’re keeping it like this lmao)

new rp idea, i’ll make a better plot for it later:
brother and sister (or guy and girl bsfs), are both gay, and their parents don’t know/don’t approve of this. but they both get bfs and gfs anyways. so, they decide to trick the parents (whether keeping the appearance that they’re straight or that “it was just a phase”), the main girl “dating” the main guy’s bf, and the main guy “dating” the girl’s gf. best way to get past the “no sharing rooms for sleepovers” rule, amirite? lmaoo -
and one person would be the guy and be the girl’s gf, at least when it’s the four kids or just the girls or whatever, and then vice versa, the other person plays the girl and the guy’s bf.
