he nods and smiles along on autopilot, not because he doesn’t actually care about what she's talking about, but because he’s so distracted and can’t stop his thoughts from telling him how f---ing pretty she is. how he wants her expressive hands that move around as she rambles, tucked safely inside his own. to have her sweet laughs echo all because of him. for her nose to be nestled up and pressed into his neck while she lies safely in his arms, hiding from the world together. for her lips to be pressed against each other, only after he finally asks her to be his. and for her smile lines to be on full display, eyes shining when he tells her he’s in love with her.
