c1 is a young, hard-working person who just got out of a pretty crappy relationship. c1 broke up with their last partner because they abusive/manipulative and didn’t care about their dog that they had bought for c1, but neglected nonetheless. and c1’s dog meant everything to them. but their dog had been acting up recently, practically destroying c1’s apartment during the day when they go to work. that’s when c1 meets c2, their neighbor. c2’s also a dog owner, practically considered “the dog whisperer”. so, c2 offers to watch after and help train c1’s dog. c2 gives c1 advice and tips for how to train their dog, and c1 begins to fall in love. but whenever c1 tries to get closer to c2, c2’s dog tends to butt in, becoming protective of their owner. unbeknownst to c1, c2’s dog is quite protective because c2 had also recently gotten their heart broken from an old relationship. one day, c2’s dog goes missing and c1 promises c2 they’ll find the pup, literally willing to run around in the park while it’s pouring looking for c2’s dog. c1 eventually finds their dog and things start to change between the two. a few awkward moments and one (kind of?) date to the bar c2 works at, will they realize that they both like each other and quit the pining?? who knows~
