Thread Topic: Declare chain threads innapporopriate outside of offbeat.
-
Chain threads made in 2013 or earlier grandfathered in and allowed.
All others are not allowed and any posts in them during 2015 onwards will be deleted.
Only board for chain threads is offbeat.
Should this be done? -

Chain thread?
-
Chain threads are like "date user above you", I believe.
I must admit they're annoying, but is it enough to get deleted?
And how would they get deleted? -
*forgot to add from that.
How would it get deleted? GTQ Hasn't been on in months. -
^I'm assuming he means to delete the first post of the thread so it's like it was never created but you can see the thread.
-
*GTQ guy
But if it's still visible on the page, the users would still probably post in it. -
They enhibit actual rich and productive discussion on the threads
-
Inhibit*

I'm still a little unclear on the concept of chain threads. Am I getting this right, just "user above/below you" threads or am I missing something?
-
Anything that involves a "trend" of everyone having the same thread in one forum.
-
So it's what the "Study" forum is now?
-
Its not what the study forum is supposed to be about. Just look back a couple years ago. It just needs to stop
-
We can't truly delete the threads, so I suppose you mean the next best thing?
Not a bad idea. -
Clarify, please. So if someone makes something up, such as the confessions thread trend, since there's so many, and now it clogs up the forum, would that be considered under the lines of "chain thread"?
