Thread Topic: Too many orientations.

So, there is heterosexual (likes oposite gender), bisexual (likes both genders), and homosexual (likes same gender).
How are anymore sexualities needed? -
I seriously don't know, it's all really confusing to me O.o
-
Just saw a list with 7 sexualities, 8 romantic thingies (which dun even matter really), and 16 genders which are attracted to by different sexualities.
Realisticly it closely follows.
Males, females. Then males and females have their own personalities, some are more feminine or masculine than others.
You have straights, gays (lesbians fall under this), and bis. That defines the genitals these people seek. Some bis also have preferences but this is the person individual choice. And some people like to get laid fast and some don't even want to get laid. That is just the individual person sex preferences, they don't need a label.
The romances aren't even needed, they fall under the sexualities. -
Pansexuality is also a thing Geeky
-
Bisexuality with less preference towards what.
-
Nono
Pansexuality is something like "I literally do not give a f--- if you're a boy or a girl or if you used to be a boy but are now a girl or if you used to be a girl but are now a boy or anything like that."
Unless I'm mistaken. -
That's attraction to both genders with no preference towards either
-
I think it's funny that all these people preach equality and tearing down labels built by society...
And yet they go about it by making even more labels and categorizing people even further.
Male or Female (or biologically both)
Straight, Gay, both or neither. (everything else is just a varying degree of one of the previously mentioned)
People are divided by gender and sexuality for simplicity, nothing more. Claiming you are anything beyond that is a personal preference and serves only to complicate and alienate yourself.
I'm a guy and I like girls. That is my gender and my sexual preference. Bam. Simple. I don't care if you're a guy and like guys, or a girl and likes girls. Or both and like neither. You can comprehensively cover every practical deviation with just that.
I don't understand the logic of these people. It just doesn't make any sense to me. -
haHAHAHAHAHA OKIEEEE
UM
WHERE DO I START HERE -
SO first of all, how about we start with the fact that there is more than one gender is anyone going to acknowledge that except Maru? I have a list somewhere if needed.
Also, romantic orientation DOES matter! Especially within the asexual spectrum, just saying.
I understand that it's confusing! It took me a while to learn! But it's certainly not unnecessary just because you don't understand it! I don't understand lots of things but that doesn't make them unnecessary :)
Here, I'm also going to list a few more orientations cause idk:
- There's also polysexual, attracted to more than one gender but not all
- Skoliosexual, attracted to non-binary people
- Should we talk about autosexual yeah it's a thing
- How about the asexual spectrum, there's also grey asexual and demisexual -
And @Bob People don't HAVE to label themselves?? :) You can identify yourself however you want! But for many people labels are very important! When I found out about demisexuality I realized I wasn't alone and that there are many other people like me who identify as demisexual :)

No, there isn't more than one gender. You have boys, girls, and people born with whacko genitalia where they aren't really either. This is rare and which gender they go under is up to them basically. Then people have their own personalities which define how they act when it comes to gender roles.
Asexuals just don't really care about sex at all, ni need to add then to the list.
Polysexual, clearly not real as wrong number of genders.
Skoliosexual, so attracted to people with certain personalities? That doesn?t get a sexual.
Autosexual, pretty sure that involves f---ing cars but idk.
Asexual spectrum, basically juet people who dun like sex much in general. -
Um...have you heard of non-binary people, or..?
Uh no, the asexual spectrum includes grey and demi too, and we are all a part of the LGBTQ community as well.
Excuse me..? It is real.
Also real.
Exactly, you don't know. You sound really ignorant right now.
No. NO. Again, you just sound ignorant and you don't really understand. -
Also, why does lack of sexual attraction make the sexual orientation less real or doesn't need to be included??? Not all asexual are aromantic but even if they are they are still part of the LGBTQ community and need to be recognized as well.
-
They're a form of special snowflake.
Quote from a demi "How do I get horny". Also note how this demi has a boyfriend so is attracted to people, just doesn't care about sex.
You aren't even approaching this logicly, you can't just say no to something in serious debates and have an oppinion which is at all accurate
