Also, you don't have to do all the push ups in a row. You could do sets of them. I usually do mine in sets of 10, so I sometimes do 20 sets of 10, which ends up being 200 in all.
-
Dude! :D I do 200 too. But I do mine in four sets of fifty with this work out thing called "Give Me Fifty" it's fifty push-ups fifty explosive squats and fifty sit ups repeated four times.
-
Ooh that sounds good! Maybe I'll recommend it to my coach to do as a warm up before practice (or a cool down after).
-
You're joking right?
-
No...? We always do exercises like that before or after running. It's called cross training.
-
That's hard for even me to do there's no f---ing way you can do that as a warm up or cool down.
-
You never know. It may be hard for "even you," but maybe not for other people.
-
Oh I know there's people out there that can do that with ease but I doubt you're one of them.
-
How do you know? You know absolutely nothing about me.
-
I don't know you I just don't believe you can do that as a warm up or cool down.
-
My normal warmup for a track practice is two to three miles, 150 push-ups, a 10-minute sequence of ab exercises, 10 100-meter stride-outs, drills, and stretches. And that's just a normal day. Plus there's a running workout afterwards. Your workout doesn't seem that daunting compared to what I do an a daily basis.

Son of a b----. ._. Alright then. I've been bested. Nice to meet somebody on this site that can out do me physically. My name is Alex.

_sammy_ NewbieHow can I stay motivated?
-
Ah that's a hard one for me I always found making lots of short term goals and working out with somebody to work the best though.
-
Staying motivated is about number 1 confidence, and number 2 attention span, then 3rd ability.
First off, you have to find some way to feel like what you're doing is legit, and worthwile, and powerful. The problems are that maybe you compare yourself too much with people who are outclassing you, or you don't know what you're doing, or getting the immediate results you want... to fix this number one, do your research, find good workouts from people who are fit now that you can start with. Always be prepared with an attack plan before you work out. Also find ways to PUSH yourself, because it will make you feel like a beast, and when you get that feeling you will not want to quit.
attention span is tough also because sometimes yiu just lose patience with routines. Its just a fact: human beings are smart and get bored easily. To comvat this, I put a lot of work into keeping my workout Playlists fresh, and also switch up my routine all the time. The bottom line though is that you need a goal. Maybe its a trick you want to peform or weight you wanna lift whatever. But you gotta always find something fun. Also in general adapt a yes man attitude, ALWAYS go for it and you will not lose patience so easy.
finally speaking of what you are capable of, first do some research, what do experts say, wbat do peers say you should be doing? When you get some answers just pick something up and try it. If its way to hard then pick up something less heavy duty, if its too easy then step it up. Lose your fear to explore your capabilities. Find out what your body CAN do and you will become able to push it, or rest it as needed.
These are the components of an ATHLETES mentality. Learning then is totally on you though just gotta junp in and figure it out. If you slip up then try again and that is the essential decision behind motivation
