Lavender grinned. "Can I stay the night?" She asked hopefully.

Lavender beamed, snuggling closer.

Maeve held her close. ‘Do you think your parents will mind?’

"Not at all." Lavender didn't add that they probably wouldn't even notice.

‘Okay,’ Maeve grinned, holding her close.

Lavender looked up. "Have you had a good day?"

‘Definitely. You?’

"Absolutely." Lavender had stopped playing with Maeve's hand by now, intertwining their fingers.

Maeve grinned. ‘That’s good.’

Lavender nodded, grinning back.

Maeve booped her nose.
