Sebastian glared. He did a stupid thing, and just committed to the lie. "So what if I've had a few bad bosses? Everyone in this town has worked for Archibald at some point. I'd bet even Vincent has."

‘Vincent has a past with Archibald, which is exactly why the man wants his inventions. He’ll stop at nothing to rip them off and ruin his life,’ Albert said, clanking towards the door. ‘I’m going to tell him.’

Sebastian ran to stop him, picking him up by one of his legs. "You won't tell him." He demanded.

‘I will!’ Albert said, wriggling his leg to get out of his grip.

Sebastian held on tight. "You have no proof. If you tell him, I'll make you regret it."

‘What are you going do, hm?’

"Don't worry about it, sweetheart." Sebastian said in a 'you better worry about it' way.

‘What if I told you I’m recording you right now?’ Albert said. ‘Vincent will believe a voice recording.’

Sebastian glared before going through his backpack and pulling out a screwdriver, still holding onto Albert tight. "Delete it. Now."

Albert crossed his arms. ‘No. You’re not a good liar, Sebastian Arion.’

Sebastian pressed the screwdriver into one of his screws. "I need this job. Delete the recording. Now."

‘No,’ Albert said simply.

Sebastian frowned. He tried to think of ways to get rid of the bot without Vincent getting suspicious. He paused before throwing him in his closet, shutting the door, and tying it shut with a belt they packed.

Albert banged on the closet door. ‘Sebastian, if you don’t let me out right now I swear to god-‘

Sebastian left the room, still trying to figure out what to do. Reprogramming could work, but was time consuming. He could blame the recordings on deepfakes, he supposed...
