Clay smiled back warmly, waving a little. He took a sip of his drink, slowly making his way over to George as he pretended to try and find something to eat.

George smiled softly, grabbing his platters and trying to stall his going back as he saw Clay trying to sneak over.

Clay moved closer to George and soon ended up be his sides, their arms just barely touching. “Hey, hun~” He whispered softly, grabbing a plate.

“Hey,” George said, a polite smile on his face. “How’s the ball going so far?”

“Super fun,” Clay murmured sarcastically, rolling his eyes. “Although one of the princesses I talked to happened to also be gay and was just here because she had to be- Thought that was cool,” he said, a small smile on his face as he made himself a plate.

“That’s so nice,” George said with a smile, glancing up and admiring Clay for a moment before forcing himself to look away. “Well- I gotta go- serving is stressful.”

“You wanna try and hang out later? Because I am definitely not suffering through this entire ball,” Clay said with a chuckle, watching George for a moment with a smile before forcing himself to look down at his plate

“Uh, yeah, where do you wanna meet?” George whispered, chuckling quietly.

“Uhh, maybe back out in the secret spot at the garden?” Clay suggested in a low voice, shrugging.

George smiled, looking down as he grabbed the platters. “Sounds good. Is an hour too long? I’m kinda busy-“

“No, not at all- Whenever you can get away is fine with me,” Clay said with a smile, sneaking a glance at George for a moment before picking up his plate he had set down before. “See you later~” He spoke quietly, walking off.

“Bye,” George said softly, quickly making his way back to the kitchen.

Clay hummed as he sat under the tree of the secret garden spot, humming softly as he scrolled through his phone and waited for George to arrive. -
George slipped into the small garden, smiling widely as he saw Clay. “Hi, handsome~”

“Hey, cutie~” Clay said with a bright smile, jumping to his feet and moving over to George. He wrapped his arms around his waist, kissing his lips. “God, I’ve been wanting to do that since I saw you earlier~”
