Clay sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. “Yeah, whatever- I just want to get this over with,” he muttered, rolling his eyes.
-
The king sighed, putting Clay on the back. “Just- please at least try to look happy to be here-“
-
Clay sighed and nodded, forcing a smile onto his face.
-
“There you go- if it becomes too unbearable, come find me,” His dad said with a wink, grinning a little as they headed down the stairs to the main ballroom floor.
-
Clay nodded and headed towards the main area, preparing to be bombarded by the princesses.
-
“Princess Katherine,” A butler-looking man said, walking away once the princess had curtsied. “Hi, you can call me Kat,” She said happily, moving closer to him.
-
Clay looked over at the princess, forcing a smile onto his face.
-
“So, uh, how’s your night been so far?” Kat asked politely, slightly nervous.
-
“My night’s been fine, how has yours been?” Clay asked softly, noticing the nervousness in her voice and softening his expression.
-
“Good! Really good,” She said, smiling widely. “It’s so nice to finally meet you~”
-
“It’s nice to meet you, too,” Clay spoke with a quiet chuckle, running a hand through his hair.
-
“So, uh, what do you like to do for fun?” She asked softly.
-
“Uh, sports, I guess?” Clay replied, shrugging a little.
-
“What sports do you do?” She asked, clasping her hands in front of her.
-
“Football, track, a bit of basketball,” Clay replied, putting his hands into the pockets of his pants. “I also fence, but I’m not as good as it as the other stuff,” he added, chuckling softly.
