“Okay, but like, why are you still here?” Clay asked, watching Sam. “Hiding from our mother,” Sam said, dramatically sighing. “Well, could you hide somewhere else? We’re kinda in the middle of something-“
-
“I mean- yeah, but we did kinda take your guys’ spot,” George said softly, wringing his hands.
-
“We can kick her out, it’s fine-“ “Uh, rude!” Sam said, laughing softly. “Just let me hide out here for a bit, then I’ll leave,” she said with a giggle, taking another bite of her sandwich.
-
“That’s fine,” George said with a shrug, glancing over at clay.
-
“Fiine, whatever,” Clay said with an eye roll, chuckling softly. He let go of George and laid back down, humming softly.
-
George chuckled, staying sitting up and resting a hand on his leg. “So- Sam, what do you do for fun?”
-
“I like to go out partying with my friends,” Sam said, moving off her knees and stretching her legs out. “I also like to swim, since I’m on the swim team for my school~”
-
“What school do you go to?” George asked, furrowing his brows.
-
“It’s this fancy private school not too far from here,” Sam replied, brushing strands of hair behind her ear. “It’s like, really strict and lame, though- Clay almost flunked out of it when he was in his freshman year, so Mom just pulled him out-“ “Uh, not true, I asked to do homeschool, liar,” Clay said, sitting up a little for a moment to glare at his sister.
-
George chuckled quietly, rolling his eyes. “Gotcha- I got confused because Clay said he was homeschooled-“
-
“Yeah, he sucked at school so Mom pulled him out-“ “Okay, if you’re gonna keep insulting me, you can leave,” Clay said, gently kicking Sam’s leg with his foot. “Ow, rude-“
-
George chuckled awkwardly, not knowing what to say. He had two older sisters, but they were pretty much grown up and moved out when he was born, so he was kind of an only child.
-
“Mm, well- I guess I’ll leave you two be,” Sam said with a chuckle, standing to her feet. “The sandwich was great, George, thank you~” “Yeah, get outta here, loser,” Clay joked with a chuckle, earning a hard kick in the leg from Sam. “OW-“ “Be glad I didn’t kick you in the balls,” Sam teased with a smirk, waving and saying goodbye before turning and walking off.
-
“You’re welcome,” George said with a chuckle, waving as she left.
-
Clay sighed dramatically and hugged onto George, burying his face in his neck. “I thought she’d never leave,” he said with a chuckle, kissing his skin gently.
