Clay exhaled shakily and lifted his head, sniffling as he rubbed his eyes. “I-I really didn’t mean to, it- it just kind of h-happened…”
-
George frowned a little bit, brushing some hair off of Clay’s forehead. “Were you dissociating?”
-
“M-More like st-stuck in my own thoughts,” Clay murmured softly, rubbing his eyes with his hand. “I- I was pacing my room and- and I couldn’t get my brain t-to shut up, then- then it was like I-I came back to reality and-“ He exhaled, looking down at the wrap on his arm which had grown a small bloodstain.
-
George hummed in understanding, nodding. “Where’d you put the razor?”
-
“I- I dropped it on the floor in a panic,” Clay spoke softly, watching the bloodstain slowly grow. “f---, I need to r-re-wrap my arm-“
-
“Do you want me to help?” George asked, glancing down at the bloody bandage.
-
“Mhm,” Clay hummed shakily in response, standing to his feet.
-
“Is the stuff in the bathroom?” George said, standing with Clay and steadying his boyfriend.
-
“Y-Yeah,” Clay replied, nodding as he held onto George. He exhaled softly, trying to keep his hands from shaking.
-
“Okay- uh- you just- sit back down, I’ll go grab it, okay?” George said softly.
-
“O-Okay-“ Clay replied, nodding as he sat back down on the couch.
-
“I love you, okay? I’ll be right back,” George said softly, pressing a kiss on Clay’s forehead before walking into the bathroom. He spotted the razor, carefully picking it up and tossing it into the toilet, flushing it down. He found the wrap supplies on the counter, quickly heading back out to Clay.
-
“I love you, too,” Clay whispered back, leaning against the couch. He exhaled softly, rubbing his eyes and sniffling quietly. He watched George come back out of the bathroom, sitting up a little and rolling up his sleeves out of the way of the small wrap covering a bit less than half his forearm starting below his elbow.
-
George smiled gently, finding the edge of the old bandage and carefully unwrapping it.
-
Clay winced softly and looked away, not bearing to look at the damage he caused himself. He shuddered at the cool air hitting his arm, a good few new cuts revealing themselves under the bandage.
