'Whatever you want, I don't care,' Casimir said, a little harshly as he continued to worlk.
-
Georgie flinched a little, furrowing their brows. “Well, I- I know it’s kind of small, but I would like your opinion on it, if you have a minute-“
-
Casimir exhaled sharply and rubbed his face with his hands, then dipped his quill in the ink and continued working. 'I'm busy right now, can it wait?'
-
“I- I mean, I suppose it can wait, but-“ Georgie spoke, exhaling softly. “I did want to get this done so I’m not rushing too much-“
-
'It can wait,' Casimir snapped. 'I need to get this done.'
-
Georgie flinched, glaring at Casimir a little. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to interrupt you,” he muttered, looking down at the ground.
-
'I know, I-I just need to finish this today,' Casimir said, a sharp edge to his voice as he looked at the clock on the wall and back to his work. 'Just- Go away.'
-
Georgie huffed softly, looking back up. “Fine, I guess I’ll justhandle everything myself, since ‘it doesn’t matter’ what I choose, right?” He muttered as he gathered the stuff he brought, struggling for a moment before turning and walking off. “Don’t worry, I won’t bother you with your work, hun,” he spoke quietly, walking out of the room.
-
Casimir glanced up as they left, feeling a little bad. 'Shut the door on your way out,' he muttered, looking back at the papers on his desk and scribbling something down.
-
Georgie huffed and paused, nudging the door shut with their foot. It closed a little too loudly but he just turned, walking off. [i]I know he doesn’t mean it, but- it still hurts…[/i{
-
Casimir glared at his work. The afternoon passed, and Casimir skipped dinner to finish. It was almost midnight when he walked quietly back to his bedroom, rubbing his eyes tiredly.
-
Georgie sat on the floor as they organized more arrangements, trying to figure out the plate settings. He yawned tiredly, his eyes threatening to close before he forced them open and continued working.
-
Casimir sat down next to them, carefully wrapping an arm around their shoulder. 'Hey.'
-
“Hi,” Georgie murmured, rubbing their eyes. “Sorry for bothering you earlier with the wedding planning stuff,” he added sarcastically, rolling his eyes. They usually wouldn’t have reacted like this, but they were tired and grouchy and didn’t care at the moment how they were acting.
-
Casimir's heart sank. He rested his head on Georgie's shoulder. 'I-I'm sorry about that, sweetheart. I was stressed,' he said quietly, grabbing their hand.
