‘I know,’ Casimir lied. ‘I-I’m just not tired. There’s so much to do..’

“Really? Not tired, huh?” Georgie said with a playful smirk, giggling softly. He held Casimir close and kissed his jaw, humming softly. “I love you so much, honey, but please- you need the sleep. I’ll be okay by myself for an hour or three, okay?”

Casimir shook his head, leaning into their touch. ‘I-I can’t. My new advisor came while you were asleep and said my work is piling up. A-And I can’t leave you alone. Your arm…’ he trailed off, overwhelming himself.

“Hey- Honey, look at me,” Georgie spoke softly, looking at Casimir.

Casimir looked at them, hands shaking.

“I’ll be okay by myself for a little while, honey,” Georgie spoke softly, smiling at Casimir. “If you need to go work, or do your kingly duties- Or even just go get some sleep, please go do it~ I can handle myself, I promise, baby.”

‘B-But what if you have another nightmare? And nobody notices? O-Or you’re in a lot of pain and the nurses aren’t close by-‘ Casimir said, voice shaking. He held onto Georgie tightly, not wanting to let go.

“Baby, I can handle a little pain-“ Georgie spoke softly, holding Casimir close. “As for the nightmares, I’m used to dealing with them on my own, okay? I’ll be okay by myself for a few hours.”

‘I-I don’t want you to have to handle the pain! It want you to get the car you need and never have to be in pain in the first place,’ Casimir said, hugging them close and burying his face in their shirt.

Georgie smiled, rubbing Casimir’s back. “That’s- f---, that's so sweet of you~” He spoke quietly, smiling happily. “But, seriously, if you have work or need sleep, I want you to focus on that. Just because we’re in a relationship now, doesn’t mean you should put me above everything, hun-“

Casimir exhaled shakily, clenching his fists to try to stop them from shaking. ‘B-But what if something bad happens and I’m not here?’

“The doctors will be here, hun,” Georgie spoke softly, hugging Casimir close. “Please, hun, if you have royal duties to attend to, you need to take care of them.”

Casimir exhaled shakily. ‘I-‘ he cut himself off, burying his face in the crook of Georgie’s neck. ‘P-Promise me you’ll get a doctor to call me if anything happens.’

“I promise, baby~” Georgie said with a smile, moving a hand to run it through Casimir’s hand. “If anything bad happens, I promise I’ll call a doctor, okay?”
