Karl exhaled softly, hugging his legs to his chest.

“So, uh, what’s your favorite genre on music?” Nick asked, taking a bite of his ice cream.

“I like indie pop or indie rock,” Karl replied softly, glancing over at Nick.

“Any favorite songs?” Nick asked, grabbing another spoonful of ice cream.

Karl paused, thinking for a moment. “God, that’s always a tough question,” he said, giggling softly. “I hate picking favorites, mainly because it’s always changing-“

“So real, take your time,” Nick said with a a chuckle. “I always like to look at my playlists and see which ones I recently added, because those are usually my favorites for the moment.”

“Mm, true,” Karl murmured, pulling out his phone. He hummed softly as he started searching through his playlists, resting his head against the chair. “Like or Like Like by Miniature Tigers is a good song- Ooh, wait, I also like Someone New by Hozier~ Ugh, I love me some Hozier.”

“Oo yeah, good choice,” Nick said with a nod, chuckling.

“What about you? What’s your favorite song?” Karl asked, looking over at Nick with a small smile.

“Oh, s---, uh,” Nick paused, clicking his tongue. “Probably anything by Lil Uzi- but probably like, The way life goes.”

“Y’know what, I could see that for you~” Karl said, giggling softly.

“Wow, thanks,” Nick said with a giggle, taking another bite of his ice cream.

“That, or Tyler The Creator- You look like you listen to him,” Karl teased, giggling softly.

“Uh, a little bit, yeah,” Nick said with a shrug, chuckling. “I like rap and R&B.”

“Mm, nice,” Karl said, smiling at Nick.
