Karl took Nick’s hand, smiling happily.

They arrive at the ice cream place soon, parking. “Do you want me to go get the ice cream and we can just have them in here so you don’t have to use your knee?”

“Yeah, that’s a good idea,” Karl replied, nodding. “I’d like just vanilla, please- NO, wait, they have some really good birthday cake ice cream~”

“Okay, gotcha,” Nick said with a chuckle, opening the door. “I’ll be right back~”

“Bye~” Karl said with a smile, watching Nick leave the car and head to the shop. He sighed and slumped back in his chair, a lovesick grin on his face. God, he’s literally so amazing~

Nick got the ice cream, coming back out and hopping into the car. He handed Karl his ice cream, smiling. “Here you go~”

“Thank you~” Karl said with a smile, taking the ice cream and taking a bite. “Mm, so good- What’d you get?” He asked, looking over at Nick.

“Double chocolate,” Nick said with a smile, taking a bite of his ice cream.

“Ooh, good choice~” Karl said with a smile, taking another bite of his ice cream.

“Mhm,” Nick hummed in content, having a large bite of his ice cream. “This is really f---ing good-“

“I know, right? This place has the best ice cream~” Karl replied, giggling softly.

“Yeah, honestly,” Nick said with a. nod, taking another bite of his ice cream.

Karl hummed softly with content, leaning back in his seat as he took another bite.

“Whys vanilla your favorite flavor?” Nick asked. “It’s so bland.”

“Uh, first of all, it’s not bland,” Karl said, giggling softly. “And second of all-“ He paused, furrowing his brows a little. “Not gonna lie, I dunno why it’s my favorite. It just is~”
