Chris wrapped an arm around his shoulder, humming softly.

Mason buried his face in the crook of their neck.

Chris blushed and smiled, running his hand through Mason’s hair.

Mason smiled slightly, snuggling close. The door to the apartment opened and closed.

Chris tensed up a little, hearing the front door.

Mason looked up. Olly walked into the lounge room. ‘Hey, dude- Who’s this?’
‘Chris,’ Mason said, pulling away from his friend.
‘Cool. Are you okay, man? You look like you’re not okay.’ -
Chris pulled his arms back and sat up, crossing his arms over his chest.

Mason rubbed his face with his hands. ‘Yeah, I’m okay. Jordan broke up with me.’
‘Thank god for that. You were too good for him,’ Olly said, patting Mason’s head.
Mason rolled his eyes. ‘Chris, this is Olly, my roommate.’ -
“So you’re the roommate,” Chris said with a chuckle, nodding. “Nice to meet you- And, I one hundred percent agree, he doesn’t deserve you, Mason~”

Olly chuckled. ‘Let me guess, Jordan got mad that you were hanging out with Chris?’ They sat down next to Mason, crossing their legs.
‘Mhm.’ -
“Which was honestly f---ing stupid, like-“ Chris said, rolling his eyes.

Olly nodded. ‘I agree. The guy once yelled at Mason because we fell asleep on the couch watching Hamilton,’ they said.

“Damn, that’s literally no reason to get mad at him for-“ Chris said, furrowing his brows.

‘That’s what I said!’ Olly said. ‘Mason, you have terrible taste in guys.’
Mason rolled his eyes. ‘Ok, that’s enough- let’s stop talking about my ex.’
Olly huffed and stood up. ‘Fine, whatever. I got us some candy if you get hungry.’ -
Chris chuckled and nodded, rubbing Mason’s back with his hand.
