“What was taking you so long?!” “He was probably taking a s----“ Liam sighed and pulled Michael and Jared back, moving over. “Are you okay, Evan? You were gone for a long while, so we wanted to come check on you.”

“Uh- yeah, I’m fine, but,” Evan paused, exhaling quietly. “I’m gonna show you something, but you have to promise to be chill about it and stay calm, okay? I’m being so serious.”

“What is it, what is it?!” Michael exclaimed, trying to get closer. “Dude, chill out, oh my God-“ Jared pulled Michael back, shaking his head. “I can’t make any promises for him, but Liam and I promise.” Liam nodded his head, scooting over to Jared’s side and hugging onto his arm.

“Okay, so-“ Evan paused, glanced at the door. “Connor’s in here, my boyfriend. It’s not for stupid reasons, I promise- but if anyone important finds him, we’ll probably both be fired, okay? So he’s gonna stake out in here until he can sneak away-“

Michael opened his mouth to speak but Jared glared at him, making him close his mouth. Jared looked back, nodding. “We won’t tell, promise.” “Can we ask why, though?” Liam spoke softly, watching Evan with a concerned look. “You just seemed kind of upset earlier, when you left, and I wanted to make sure you were okay- That’s why we’re here,” he added, Jared wrapping his arm around the blonde’s shoulder.

“It’s a long story, guys, a long and boring one,” Evan said, forcing a chuckle and waving his hand dismissively as he opened the door to the bathroom, locking eyes with Connor.

Connor watched Evan for a moment before looking down at the boys, an awkward smile on his face. “Hi, uh- So I’m the boyfriend-“ Jared stifled a laugh, a smile on his face. “Nice to meet you, Connor. I’m Jared, this is Liam,” he said, gesturing to the boy he had his arm wrapped around, “and this idiot is Michael-“ “f--- off, I’m not an idiot!” Michael exclaimed, glaring at Jared. “Eh, agree to disagree.”

“Hey! Watch your language, guys, please-“ Evan said, a stern look on his face. He took a step over to Connor, leaning against him slightly.

Connor wrapped his arm around Evan’s waist, holding him close. “Nice to meet you guys.” “So, you’re the boyfriend, huh?” Michael said, stepping closer. “Eh, Evan could do better-“ Connor stifled a laugh, covering his mouth. “Dude, you just met him, how could you say that?” Jared asked, laughing. Liam giggled, leaning into his side.

Evan stifled a laugh, covering his mouth and glancing at Connor. “Wow, hun, you’re getting thrown under the bus already-“

“Damn, I can’t believe this,” Connor said with a laugh, hugging Evan closer. “I think you look like a nice person for Evan,” Liam said quietly, staying close by Jared’s side. “Thank you- At least someone thinks so-“ “Hey, I never said that!” Jared exclaimed, chuckling.

Evan chuckled quietly, patting Connor on the back before pulling away, heading towards the door. He opened it, peeking his head out. counselor ms and others were walking by, so he shut the door again and walked over to his boyfriend. “Which direction did you come from?” He asked softly.

“Back that way, I hopped the fence over by where we met up last at the lake and made my way over here,” Connor replied, crossing his arms over his chest. “It definitely might be kind of hard to get back without being spotted, though.”

“Argh, f---,” Evan muttered, pulling out his phone and opening his maps, trying to find a route. “Can you wait till it’s late? But your campers-“ -
(am back, sorry that took ages lmaoo)
“Maybe we can do like, a distraction!” Michael said, jumping up and down for a moment. “We cause a commotion outside and get as many counselors and kids to the bonfire spot!” “That could work, but do you think we can get them all, or most of them, over to the bonfire and get Connor out without being spotted?” Jared asked.
