“Womp womp, that’s boring,” Michael said, laughing softly. Jared whined softly as he slowly followed after Michael, trying not to look down. “God, I hate this so much-“

“You’re so brave, hun,” Liam said with a smile, gently rubbing his back. “Just don’t look down-“

“I’m trying not to, but I kinda have to so I can see where I’m stepping,” Jared said with a nervous chuckle, gripping onto the rope attached to his harness. He took a few more steps, moving over to the next platform.

“Fair,” Liam said with a chuckle. “Wait- watch-“ He said, stepping to the edge of the platform he was on and tipping over. He was caught pretty quickly, hanging off of the edge slightly like spider-man. “See! You’re completely safe.”

Jared freaked out for a moment before he realized Liam was okay, exhaling shakily. “Jesus, Bug, don’t scare me like that,” he whined, chuckling nervously. “And there’s no way in hell I’m trusting that-“

“Nah, it’s fun,” Liam said with a small smile, pulling himself back up before following Jared. “You gotta trust-“

Jared whined again, slowly continuing forward. Michael turned around, seeing his far ahead he had gotten. “Dang, y’all are slow! Hurry it up!!”

“Don’t rush him!” Liam called, looking back at Jared. “You got this~”

Jared exhaled shakily, quickly making it to the next platform. “I hate this, I hate this, I hate this-“

“You’re doing amazing!” Liam called with a smile. “You’re so brave, Jare.”

Jared whimpered nervously, continuing forward. He looked up a little and saw Michael climbing up to the next level, his heart racing. “f----“

“Jared, hun, wait a second,” Liam said softly, rushing to the next platform with Jared. “Are you okay?”

“I uh, I- I don’t know if I can go higher-“ Jared spoke shakily, clinging to the post of the platform he was on.

Liam frowned, glancing back at Evan. “Dude- I’m sorry but the only way down is up. That’s the last level, okay? Then you jump down,” Evan said sympathetically.

“Then I jump?! Are you s---ting me?!” Jared exclaimed, his breathing growing erratic. “No, no, no, I- I can’t- Why can’t I just- just go back the way we came?!” He asked shakily, fear in his eyes.
