“As much as I would love to, I don’t think you can fall asleep, hun,” Evan said softly. “Do you want me to bring you back so you can go to bed?”

“Yeah, that might be a good idea,” Connor said with a sleepy chuckle. nodding as he lifted his head. He yawned and sat up, stretching for a bit before standing to his feet. He grabbed Evan’s hands, helping him to his feet.

Evan giggled quietly, standing and squeezing Connor’s hands once he was up. He let go of one of them as he started walking, almost tripping on a roof sticking up out of the ground.

Connor grabbed Evan when he almost tripped, holding him close. “s---, you okay?” He asked, chuckling softly.

“I’m good, I’m good,” Evan said with a laugh, clinging to Connor for a moment before letting go. He took large steps to avoid anymore roots as he started towards the car again.

Connor chuckled and nodded, making sure to watch Evan carefully in case he tripped again. He also copied his boyfriend, making sure he himself didn’t fall. He walked back over to the car, getting into the passenger seat with a tired yawn.

Evan giggled as they walked, climbing into the drivers seat and shutting the door. “Holy s---, I got eaten alive-“ He said, looking at the few big bites alone his arms and legs.

“Pfft- Literally same,” Connor said, realizing all the bug bites on his arms and legs as he buckled up.
(literally me any time i’m outside for one second- true story lmao) -

Evan laughed. “I’ve got some after-bite in the glove box if you want it,” he said, starting the car. -
“God, yes please- I already wanna claw my skin off from the itching,” Connor said with a chuckle, opening the glove box and grabbing out the bug spray.

Evan laughed tiredly, buckling up and pulling out of the parking lot. “God, I love you-“

“I love you~” Connor said with a tired smile, offering a hand to Evan.

Evan giggled, becoming slap-happy as the exhaustion started to hit him more. He squeezed Connor’s hand happily.

Connor laughed softly, pressing a kiss on the back of Evan’s hand with a lovesick grin. “f---, you’re so adorable~”

“Shut up, you’re the cute one~” Evan said with a giggle.
