“I mean, if you just wanna drop being a counselor, then suuure, why not~“ Connor said with a chuckle, hugging Evan close. “We can run away and live in the woods, get a cottage, start a garden or somethin’-“

Evan giggled quietly. “Do you think I could seriously live in a cabin and garden? With no air conditioning??”

“Pfft- Real, honestly,” Connor said with a chuckle, hugging Evan close. “I don’t think I could ever do that either- Chloe always jokes with her partner about ‘running away to live in the woods as cottagecore lesbians’ ‘n s---, which is kinda crazy because that girl cannot live without WiFi-“

“No, literally,” Evan said with a giggle. “I can’t believe her and her partner are still together, that’s frikkin awesome-“

“I’m really glad she has Adrienne, they’re both great for each other, honestly,” Connor said with a smile, nodding a little. “The two of them have literally known each other since they were like, in 2nd grade, I dunno how they’re not sick of Chloe~” He teased, chuckling softly.

Evan giggled, nodding. “So real. When did they start dating, again? Around the same time we did, right?”

“I think like, a little bit before?” Connor replied, hugging Evan close. “I think it was during both their freshman year? Although, technically they’ve kinda been dating since elementary-“ He laughed softly, remembering that moment when he and Chloe both came out to their mom.

“Stop, that’s so cute,” Evan said with a smile, shifting slightly.

“Yeah, she- The day that I came out to my mom, when I was like, eleven, she ran in and was like, “Mom, I have a new best friend! I love her so much and she’s my girlfriend now!” I haven’t ever let her live that down,” Connor said with a chuckle, rubbing Evan’s back.

Evan laughed loudly, lifting his head to look up at his boyfriend. “Shut the f--- up- she did not say that-“

“Not even joking, that’s literally what she said-“ Connor paused, tensing up a little as he remembered what happened after Chloe barged in. He exhaled shakily, hugging Evan closer.

“Con?” Evan said softly, sitting up a little bit. “What’s wrong?”
