“That sounds nice,” Briar said wit a small smile, leaning back into Lawrence’s arms.

‘Not really,’ Lawrence said with a chuckle, kissing his cheek.

“Better than being stuck in a castle with my father,” Briar said, resting the back of his head agains Lawrence’s chest. He exhaled softly, resting his hands on top of his boyfriend’s.

Lawrence chuckled. ‘Yeah, that’s fair,’ he said, pressing a few kisses on his face. ‘How.. how long was it? How long was I gone?’

“Almost two years,” Briar spoke softly, rubbing the back of Lawrence’s hands with his thumbs. “I kept track, it was a long time, for sure,” he said with a quiet, tired chuckle, exhaling softly.

Lawrence didn’t speak for a moment. ‘Two years..’ he repeated, voice barely above a whisper. ‘That’s… wow.’

“An awful two years,” Briar murmured, exhaling shakily. “I missed you so, so much, Lawrence-“

‘I missed you too,’ Lawrence said quietly, nuzzling his face into his neck. ‘So much. I’m never leaving you again, promise.’

Briar exhaled softly, bringing a hand up to run it through Lawrence’s hair. “I hope not, especially if we’re gonna have children- I can’t just let my fur babies not have their father in their lives~”

Lawrence chuckled quietly. ‘Oh, I’m definitely not leaving~ Especially after we adopt our furbabies~’

Briar giggled, pressing a kiss on the side of Lawrence’s head. “Speaking of our fur babies, what should we name them?” He asked, running his hand through his boyfriend’s hair.

‘Bob,’ Lawrence answered jokingly, leaning into his touch with a smile.

“Pfft- All of them?” Briar asked, giggling. “I quite like the name Milo for one of them, it’s a very nice name~”

‘Of course, like, “come here, Bob! No not you Bob, I meant Bob!”’ Lawrence said, giggling. ‘Milo is a nice name. Maybe for a dog.’

Briar giggled, leaning back into Lawrence’s arms. “And maybe for the fox- I like Fern, as a name maybe~”
