Lawrence closed his eyes, snuggling closer to him. ‘What did you talk about with Lucinda?’ Lawrence mumbled.

“I talked a bit about what I was gonna do after all this, where we were gonna go and that we were thinking of staying nearby,” Briar replied, rubbing Lawrence’s back.

‘Cool,’ Lawrence said, leaning into his touch. He kissed Briar’s nose.
