Briar hummed as he walked with Lawrence over to the stables, heading over to his horse Glory. “Okay, so- Somewhere close-ish to town, and close to the willow tree- This may be a little harder than anticipated,” he said, hopping on his horse.

Lawrence gave a small smile, climbing onto his horse as well. ‘Yeah,’ he said. ‘Do you have any backup places in mind?’

“Maybe- There’s a few places a bit further out, and then one that’s in town that I thought was nice, but I do hope to find one close to the tree and in the woods,” Briar said, exhaling softly.

‘Alright,’ Lawrence said with a small smile. ‘Sounds good.’

Briar smiled at Lawrence, heading out of the castle and out to the woods.

“Wow, this place is so pretty~“ Briar said with a smile, admiring the house for a moment. They’d been to a few houses already, but none of them seemed to be just right. This one, though, was already starting to seem like the perfect home. “It’s still close to down a decent bit, and to the castle and the willow tree- And oh my God, the flora around here, so pretty~“ He said, admiring the foliage and flowers surrounding the cottage. -

Lawrence chuckled. He wasn’t much of an expert on houses. ‘I mean, there are no old men demanding rent, so that’s a plus,’ he said, kissing the side of Briar’s head. ‘It’s nice.’ -
“True~” Briar said, giggling softly. “I don’t think I ever asked, but where were you all that time?”

Lawrence flushed slightly in embarrassment. ‘An old man’s attic. Nothing too fancy,’ he said.

“Well, at least you were safe- That’s a good thing,” Briar said, exhaling softly. He crossed his arms over his chest, losing himself in his thoughts for a moment.

‘I mean, it was only for like 9 months-‘ Lawrence said, wrapping his arms around Briar. ‘I just kind of roamed around.’
