Octavia practically face planted into the library table. She was not looking forward to going home. Staying in the library wasn't an option either. Her sister wasn't off work for awhile. Octavia decided to take out her notebook and doodle aimlessly.

Adrienne arrived at school the next morning, not in the best mood. They barely got any sleep the night before, having to watch over their siblings. They took a hit of their vape as the skated up and down the sidewalk outside the school on their skateboard, scrolling through their phone as they waited for the school to open and for classes to start. -
Octavia sat in a heavily dented Toyota. Karla, Octavia's older sister, had crashed that car more times than Octavia could count. The only reason it didn't smell like cigarette smoke was because her sister felt bad for her allergies. They had mostly clearly up today except for her clogged nose. Today it was Karla's job to drive Octavia to school. Octavia would have walked had it not been for the dreary cold and her clogged sinuses. She was just glad to not be sniffling today.

Adrienne glanced over when they was a car pull up, recognizing Octavia as she got out of it. They watched her for a moment, waving a little when she got closer.

"good morning Adrienne." Octavia said, nodding her head a little.

"Mornin'," Adrienne replied with a small smile, taking another hit of their vape before pocketing it. "How're you doin'?"

"better than yesterday." Octavia said. When she finally got to the door of the school, she started to pull small bobby pins out of her hair and placed them in her pockets. They weren't noticable in her hair but once they were out of her hair, her bangs fell forwards.

Adrienne chuckled softly, watching Octavia for a moment before catching themselves staring. "How's your morning been?" They asked as they crossed their arms, skating back and forth on their board.

"it's been a bit hectic. My sister insisted she do my hair so we had to rush out of the house. How about you?" Octavia asked, watching Adrienne skate.

"I thought I overslept, but turns out my little brother messed with my alarms on my phone and changed it to earlier than normal, so I figured I'd get here earlier," Adrienne replied with a tired chuckle, shrugging a little. "And your hair looks really good, I like it~" They murmured, yawning softly.

"that was only a slightly poor decision due to your usual lack of sleep." Octavia said, lightly chuckling. "As for my hair, the bobby pins are uncomfortable." Octavia continued, pulling out yet another bobby pin.

"It's my brother's fault, messin' with my damn phone when I was in the other room,"Adrienne mumbled with a tired chuckle, yawning softly. "And fair, bobby pins are annoying as f---- it looks good, though."

"thanks. Hopefully it'll be an easy day, it's Thursday so it should mostly be test prep or worksheets." Octavia said
