"I like what was I made for by Billie, I don't get to listen to her much though. My parents don't like her voice for some odd reasons. Oh, I forgot to mention my favorite artist! It's a bit weird but my favorite is mitski" Octavia said.

“Stop, Mitski is fire,” Adrienne said, chuckling. “I also really like Laufey’s music-“

"ooo, I like to listen to back to back marathons of mitski and laufey. What's your favorite mitski song?" Octavia asked

“Uhh, the one that’s starts with, ‘Today, I will wear my white button down’,” Adrienne replied, singing softly, “I forget the name, though.”

"oh, that's a burning Hill. I really like the melody for that one." Octavia said

“Yeah, it’s very good. And I also like Strawberry Blonde. I used to have my hair dyed a strawberry blonde color, it was real pretty~”

"I like strawberry blonde too, I think my favorite song from her though is nobody." Octavia said, smiling. She started lightly scribbling on her paper, not really looking at it.

“Eh, it’s a little overused, but it’s not a bad one,” Adrienne said, shrugging.

Octavia was a bit annoyed at that comment. "So is strawberry blonde. I haven't heard nobody used that much." Octavia said. She looked down at her notebook and started aggressively writing the lyrics to nobody

“That’s very true,” Adrienne said with a chuckle, nodding shortly. They began humming the tune of Strawberry Blonde, going back to their work.

Octavia started drawing staff lines and drawing a bad rendition of the treble clef. She tried drawing where and what she thought the notes were but she didn't know anything about music theory.

Adrienne glanced over, watching Octavia for a moment. “Makin’ a song or somethin’?”

"I was trying to draw the notes for nobody by mitski. I think the notes go up and down at the proper time at least." Octavia said. The whole thing looked like it was in 6/4 time. All of the notes were eight notes.

“It’s pretty close- Here, lemme show you,” Adrienne said, almost reaching for Octavia’s journal but stopping themselves. They pulled out their own paper, copying what the girl did and correcting the very few mistakes she made. “It was pretty close, though~”

"wow, that's good. I thought I'd be pretty off. But why did you space them out so much? And you drew the tails different for some of the notes?" Octavia asked, genuinely curiously.
