“Evan, admit to me right now that you’re lying,” Evan’s mom whispered angrily, writing things down on the paperwork. “Or you’ll be grounded for a month when I find out you are.” “I’m not, and I’m in serious pain. Please trust me this once-“ “You don’t look like you’re in pain. At all.”
-
Hannah walked back in, standing at the doorway for a moment. She looked at Evan with a face that seemed to ask you sure you don’t want me to get rid of her? She walked over to the brunette, resting a hand on his shoulder. “Let me know when you’ve finished the papers, Miss,” she spoke, looking at his mother.
-
Evan shook his head a little, waiting a moment before his mom hand over the papers. “Here. Make this quick, please.”
-
Hannah smiled again and took the papers, gesturing for Evan to follow her.
-
Evan stood and followed her, not even sparing his mother a glance.
-
Once they left the waiting room, Hannah let out a heavy sigh. “I can see why you didn’t want to tell her about this,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest.
-
“Yeah, thanks,” Evan said quietly. “She’s usually a nice person, though. I promise.”
-
Hannah nodded, running a hand through her hair. “My mother was always like that, just- intense more than sometimes,” she said with a chuckle, guiding Evan down the halls. They soon ended up outside of the exam room, where a man came out and greeted them. “My friend Jared here is gonna help get you set up, so listen to what he tells you, alright?”
-
“Okay, yeah,” Evan said with a polite smile, greeting Jared.
(wanna ts till the results?) -
(yeah u^u
and gm :))
Connor sat outside the exam room with his mother, waiting anxiously. “Hun, relax, it’s not like he’s getting surgery,” Hannah said with a chuckle, patting his back. “I know, I know- You should know by now that I always worry for no reason.” -
(gm!)
Evan came out after a moment, adjusting his shirt back down over his torso again. His expression lit up when he saw Connor, waving to him as he turned to Jared, who explained he would show the results when they came out in around ten minutes. “Thank you,” Evan said politely, nodding. Jared walked back into the exam room, and he turned towards his boyfriend with a smile. “Where did you go?” -
“Just- needed some air,” Connor said with a soft sigh, leaning back in the chair he sat in. Hannah rubbed Connor’s shoulder for a moment before standing, walking over and into the exam room.
-
“Okay, I get it,” Evan said softly, moving over and sitting carefully in the seat next to Connor. “Are you feeling better now?”
-
“Kinda? I don’t know,” Connor replied, exhaling softly. “I’m just sick of our lives being- well, basically ruined. Whether by other people’s actions or our own dumb ones.” He looked over at Evan, watching him for a moment. “I’m sorry for running off without saying anything, I- I just needed some time to think. And stop myself from saying, or doing, something dumb.”
-
“No, it’s okay, I get it,” Evan said, stopping himself from shrugging. “Your mom was there to fill me in, so I didn’t freak out too much.”
