"Hi~" Karl replied in a groggy voice, kissing Nick's cheek. "Did you sleep good?"

“Mm, yeah,” Nick said quietly, yawning again and rubbing an eye. “You?”

"Mhm~" Karl replied with a smile, nodding. He yawned and sat up, rubbing his eyes with his hands. "Hm, what time is it?" He asked aloud, searching for his phone.

“Uh-“ Nick paused, glancing over to where his alarm clock would normally be, but it wasn’t there. It was at their apartment. she chuckled quietly at his stupidity, quickly finding his phone and looking at the time. “Five-thirty.”

Karl nodded and stretched his arms over his head, humming. "Mm, I wonder if food's ready," he mumbled, staring at the wall and zoning out for a moment.

“Probably,” Nick said with a yawn, sitting up and stretching. “Wanna go check?” -
"Sure~ I'm getting kind of hungry," he said with a smile, humming as he climbed out of bed.

Nick smiled, hopping out and grabbing Karl’s hand, heading to the door and walking out into the kitchen.

Karl hummed as he followed Nick into the kitchen, inhaling the scent of the food. "Mm, that smells good," he said with a smile. "It's my specialty, baked mac and cheese," Nick's mom said with a smile, washing dishes at the sink. "Just a few minutes left, and then it'll be done~"

Nick gasped, smiling. “Karl, anything to am do with cheese that my mom makes, absolutely SLAPS-“

"Mm, I can't wait to try it then~" Karl said with a smile, leaning against Nick's side. "Where's my dad?" "Ah, I asked him to go get something for y'all to drink, and something special for the adults~" Nick's mom said, smirking. "You know you can just say alcohol," Karl said, chuckling.

Nick chuckled. “Okay, Mom as if you haven’t seen me blackout drunk before-“ he said with a laugh, leaning against Karl.

"Damn, you were getting drunk without me? I'm offended~" Karl teased, giggling. "Yeah, and you were grounded for 6 months," Nick's mom said, playfully glaring at her son.

“I still didn’t like you then,” Nick said with a chuckle, playfully groaning when his mom commented. “Yeah, you don’t have to bring it up- You let me go a couple weeks before the deadline anyways because you were sick of me~”

"God, yes, I needed you to stop nagging me," Nick's mom said with a laugh, smiling. "Wait, so can we not have drinks tonight?" Karl asked, looking between Nick and his mom. "Did you not just hear about Nick getting grounded? You two are barely adults, absolutely not," she said, exhaling. "Damnit," Karl muttered, frowning a little.
