Harley listened to them, trying to hop into the conversation without knowing what they were talking about.

'Are cars very fast?' Billie asked. He'd seen pictures of cartoon cars, but never one in real life before the day before. He'd seen cars through the bus window and gotten very scared.

Onyx woke up again shortly, groaning softly. Ugh, can't sleep, their mind whined as they stood, stretching. They sighed and rubbed their face, leaving the room and going off to find some conversation they could stalk.

"I think so, I once heard that they're faster that cheetahs, and they're like, the fastest cat ever." Bee said

Harley frowned, looking at Billie. "You've never seen a car?"

‘No. Not before yesterday,’ Billie said, picking at some grass and trying to get an ant to eat it. ‘I don’t like cats.’

Onyx wandered around, keeping their head low as they eyed anyone who walked by them or looked their way.

"cars are crazy, I heard they're so heavy that only elephants can lift them. It makes sense cause they're made of metal." Bee said.

Harley frowned. "No way. How could an elephant even lift it? It's trunk is too weak."

‘Elephants are big,’ Billie commented, offering Harley an ant.

Onyx turned a corner and spotted a group of kids, seeing the one who was in the sleeping room before. They stood at the doorway, watching them quietly.

"they could kick the car upside down. I saw them crush watermelons once at the zoo." Bee said

Harley tried to think of a way to argue. She couldn't think of anything. "So they just kick a car around like soccer?"

Billie put the ant down and looked for a beetle. He imagines elephants in jerseys, kicking around a ball.
